The transition is the one that gives the buyer 1750 for Ecos and 2750 for Hybrids right? The transition offer is one of the types of private offers.
Yes sir.The transition is the one that gives the buyer 1750 for Ecos and 2750 for Hybrids right?
understood. But OP said Ford Customer Service told him they saw BOTH orders, so nothing got cancelled? Doesn't seem to add upIf the dealership cancels the MY22 and then orders the MY23 they lose eligibility for the private offer.
Yeah, there was lots of discussion about that. Your dealer said the original order was going to get built (mine too) so I guess you didn't trust them enough to just ride it out? I had similar situation, but had my VIN so let it ride and it did work out. Seems like there's still multiple levels of confusion regarding both your orders- hope it works out for you.I learned on the forum I needed to put in a new order and lucky I did as order banks closed
Shame that this is happening to lots of people. Got ours in the exact spec we wanted at MSRP without having to wait for an order. Was a customer order who canceled. Shout out to Larry. H. Miller, truly one of the best dealership chains out there. They aren't putting markups on most of their models, particularly customer orders. Highly recommend them if you live in, or near Utah. Believe they also have dealerships in AZ and NV.I ordered an Eco boost XLT on 12/08/21 which never got scheduled . Convinced my dealer in September to submit a roll over as I realized I would not get built as a MY22 .
The MY23 order had the same order number as last year but with a priority code of 19 but no private offer. My dealer told me as a roll over order I would get built before new orders and priority did not matter and I would only get a private offer of $1750 when a vin was generated.
This sounded fishy so I contacted Ford marketing who told me the order was now coded with a new number and I would never get a private offer and I needed to work with my dealer.
At this rate I will be waiting another year and lose out on the private offer. I am close to calling it quits and buying something else. As a loyal ford customer, I am very disappointed, and this has changed my opinion of Ford Any guidance on what I can do next?
Just got off a round of calls with Ford Marketing after being transferred around with conflicting stories
Story 1 : Your new order is not coded as a rollover, and you will never get a private offer - Work with your dealer
Story 2: There were no rollover for any Mavericks, and all are coded as new orders. Private offers are randomly generated, and you seem to be out of luck. Work with you dealer to see if they will give you a private offer - but sorry you seem to be one of the unfortunates so suck it up
Story 3: Dealer is still telling me all is good don't worry the Ford Marketing folks are clueless - your private offer will be generated when you get a VIN and priority 19 is what all rollover orders get per the Ford Rep
UPDATE
Went into my dealer and they changed priority to 10 and sent an email to Ford rep as private offer should not depend on vin but there were some orders that had issues and rep is telling them we have to wait for vin number. Back to waiting … with some hope restored
Thanks TimLet me see if I can help. I will start by saying I have not read all the comments in this thread so if someone already answered similar to me, I apologize.
Sounds like you had a 22MY Maverick Ecoboost order. If the dealer completed the COVP on that order and it was approved, you should get a $1750 Transition Private Offer. Sounds like Ford Marketing is not seeing the private offer. So one of two things could be the case. 1. Either the dealer did not get an approval on your COVP or did not send it in for approval. 2. Your name is not matched up with your order and they could not get you the private offer. I have it on good authority that there are many people in scenario #2. If you are in scenario #2 your dealer will need to send your information including name, address, city, state, zip, and order number to their Inventory Specialist to get the private offer submitted for you.
Also, Ford Marketing was right when they said that none of the 22MY unscheduled orders were rolled over (carried over) to 23MY. The dealer was supposed to submit a new order for you in September. They can use the same order number if they want but the order number doesn't generate the private offer. The COVP approved 22MY order generates the Transition Private Offer. Also, the way your order gets priority is by the dealer putting a lower priority number (10) than the new 2023 orders taken. We put our new orders in at 15 and our unscheduled 22MY order in at 10-14.
Hope this helps and maybe you can use this information to help your dealer get your private offer figured out. If you can't please DM me your information I mentioned earlier and I will send it over. But please try to work with your dealer first because I do have my own orders that I need to give attention to as well.
