Getting the Ability to Send Messages/Text Through the Car

I heard bad things about Ford and Maverick. I still own one.
Speed throttling happens to a lot of the discount services who buy time on the major networks.
Oh, Mint Mobile is owned by T-Mobile.
For folks on a fixed or limited income it's one of the best deals out there.

Wife and I have I phones and watches through Consumer Cellular. Two lines, unlimited everything. Great coverage even in Idaho. $79 a month including tax. We were paying double that for same service through Verizon. Phones work great with Maverick. Never even considered texting while driving although we can do voice texting directly through the phones

Some may not be aware that SMS text messages occur over cellular service without a data plan. That's why they are limited in length to 160 characters (or less). If you do not have a data plan or that service is not available SMS (Short Message Service) can be used.

short of watching HD video, I'm not sure that throttling will affect most people (who will probably never hit the throttling threshold, anyway).

Throttled speed seems to allow simultaneous audio stream and navigation.

that said, everything other than the big three is selling data on their networks, but at lower priority--and possibly way lower priority!

I haven't messed with it but I have a friend who pays , I think, $20/month for log in to a streaming server. The only time he uses data on his plan is when he logs into his streaming server then all his search results, downloads, etc are "streamed" which is not counted as metered data.

But he would lose the anonymity he has by not going through apps, venders and speed by not communicating with pages grouped by send receive. Plus other benefits, I don't really know.
