I’m don’t think we would know that answer to that. It depends on the deal you made with the dealership.

They will be giddy about the markup they are going to do - and it will be gone that day.

That conversation regarding your deposit should have occurred before you had it processed for payment (liike I did). The salesman indicated that I could cancel the order at any time and return my deposit which they did after I decided to purchase from another dealership which had a 2023 on their lot that was a cancelled order. I got my deposit back with no hassles; however, I still get updates and a vin number for the 2024 Maverick I had ordered but cancelled. They just moved the build date to the week of March 4, 2024 from February 4, 2024. I am guessing someone will buy it.

Dealerships don't like any evidence- won't answer much in email or text, and even on the phone. In person dealings are the norm.

Well, if it makes anyone feel any better, ordering a ford Ranger isn't any different than ordering a Maverick. My new truck was supposed to go into production March 4th, now delayed until March 11th. The 2024 Maverick that I originally ordered went from going into production on March 11th has been bumped UP to February 19th. How's that for irony?

No, but the Ranger doesn't come as a hybrid model.

When I originally ordered my Maverick in November '21, the salesman warned me about the excruciatingly long waits.

I got my $500 deposit back from coconut point ford in Estero on the same day I canceled my order. You shouldn’t have any problems from Sam Galloway, they seem trustworthy

Forget about making money. You will have to wait until your truck is delivered to the dealer, then let them have it. They will return your deposit when you refuse the truck.

So then what did the dealership say about your deposit? Are they willing to refund it if you don't take delivery of the Maverick?
