I ordered my Mav 4 moths ago, was told and knew before they told me it would be 4-6 months, my build date is in Dec right at the 6 month frame. Do I like waiting no, but I am not worried or frustrated by it taking what I knew and was told when I started. Plus, I'm 58 and my last truck is 19 years old, so there is a good chance this will be my last, if so the wait is worth getting what I want. At this time there is not another Truck or car out there I would want even if I could get it today at close to what the Mav will cost me.
If I could get a build date I would be less fed up. (Or angry as some want to put it) I actually don't mind waiting, but it's hard to plan from a business perspective when you can't get a build date. And of course the cost of the Maverick is a consideration, but for me, it is strictly business, the size of the truck meets my needs for the purpose intended.

I'm getting fed up. I read how Ford is developing the Rattler and it may be available first quarter of 22. I read how Ford is now offering the Maverick in Argentina. Meanwhile the Maverick I ordered 4 months ago as of today (a loaded hybrid lariat) has yet to be scheduled to be built. I will be candid, the Santa Cruz is starting to catch my attention. The only reason I'm not telling Ford to go do themselves it's because I want the hybrid. But I am getting fed up.
If you don't actually care about the hybrid or the price, I can't think of any reason whatsoever that you shouldn't cancel your Maverick order and buy a Santa Cruz.

What anger? Can one not be fed up without being angry? I'm certainly capable of such, aren't you? Now I will tell you I find condescending fanboy retorts amusing, so thank you for that. But you miss my point entirely, which is to be expected from a fanboy. The reality is they're putting effort into developing the Rattler they're putting effort into sending the Maverick Argentina, but they're not even doing the most simple thing and that is to get the vehicles in a timely manner to the people that have ordered them. And the chip shortage thing... you know if Ford, GM and all had not still use chips straight from the '90s... produced in wafer fabs that were antique 20 years ago, we would not be in this situation. But let's say you're right, it is an uphill battle not of Ford's making.... I know when I have an uphill battle to fight I try to come up with more distractions and more crap to pile on to help me go up the hill.
Also, let's keep in mind the Maverick is not a clean sheet new build. It's basically a parts bin vehicle. Many many if not most of the parts including the platform it's built upon, the engines drive train, and countless other bits and pieces are already available on other vehicles.

Didn't Bronco had/have the same delay in production? Is this a new normal for Ford?
The Bronco still has a HUGE delay. We're talking another 2-3 year wait for some people that ordered last year. Waiting a few months for a Mav is nothing and the Bronco guys would probably laugh at this thread.

Beekeeper? I’m not sure that’s what all those people meant when they to you to “get bit”
Yeah, probably not, because Bees sting, they don't bite. :) Otherwise, I could not care less what people online tell me to do or not do. Beekeeping is just a side gig, although a very sweet and lucrative one. Bees are cool.

One can be underwhelmed, and one can be overwhelmed. You sir, are simply whelmed.

waiting is no longer part of the culture but people buy a car as necessity not a luxury so you can't have a fluid delivery. This makes no sense. One needs a car to drive and to plan accordingly. What are YOU going to do if your lease is up? Tell me. Especially used market as it is.

I retract my previous statement. Go find something else I guess! Others have been waiting longer than you.

By your definition one can be fed up, tired of something but that does not make them angry. Fed up can mean angry, but one does not necessarily begat the other. Just because keyboard warriors want to read my posts and declare me angry does not make it so, although they're welcome to believe whatever they want to believe.
I'm fed up with Ford not giving me a build date. I'm not angry at Ford, in fact I love Ford, I own 10,000 shares of Ford which I bought last year for under $5 a share and they've made me a shitload of money this year. As far as my being angry with my posts, not even a smidgen, I find this all incredibly amusing and mindlessly entertaining.

Not lease in the first place, or not wait 6-8 months for a replacement. In other words be sensible and not demand everyone do it my way.

You can extend a lease. Heck, with the used market the way it is buying out the lease for the few extra months probably will still end up with equity.

I'm not sure I fully understand the mentality of, "I want it now or I'll go elsewhere". I guess this is just the latest move tday's generation is making away from learned behaviors and things taught years ago. I am patiently waiting for mine to be built, in December as of now, and am okay driving my 15 year old toyota yaris and 88 dodge daytona shelby z. Hell, every month I wait for it is just more money going towards it. I'm okay waiting, and I'm driving a car needing maintenance and a project car with need of just about every part you can imagine.

I guess, to me, if you simply cannot wait, then stop whining and go elsewhere. Seems simple, why post here complaining about Ford... is there some part of you that truly believes whining here will have a changed effect?

Definition of insanity is doing the same thing repeatedly expecting different results. Judging, wildly, by this definition I'd go on to say that quite a few here are insane.

Random thoughts from my bored self, have a nice day folks :p
I couldn't have said it better. I don't understand either unless they just want the attention.

Eh....he's got the right to be mad. You've got the right to scroll instead of read.

Nothing you're going to say is going to make him less fed up.

Nothing he's going to say it's going to justify the way he feels to you.

To each their own. I deal by trying to get a laugh. I'm fed up with my current car, which leads to being disappointed that my Mav isn't closer. But, I can't control what I can't control.

Time to fix second O2 sensor on my focus...sigh.
Yeah, agreed, just that whiners always get to me....
Heh, least o2's aren't that hard!
