I am picking up my Maverick on Monday and driving at 1300 miles back to New Jersey. They have activated my FordPass and I am already getting deep sleep messages as it sits on the dealer lot. Should I be concerned?

I wouldn't worry. Mine was in deep sleep when I took it off the lot. It hadn't been driven much and had sat for a bit on the lot. Once I drove home everything was fine and I haven't seen any other indication of deep sleep

I'd have them replace the battery before taking it off the lot. Take a screenshot of the deep sleep and print out the pages and pages of complaints on here.

Beyond not being able to remote start, deep sleep hasn't bugged me in 13 months. No interior lights the other night. Annoying? Somewhat. Concerning? Not to me.

Happens more when it sits, but my avg is still one "battery saver mode" a month. Your car has been sitting (on a train) a lot, I'd reckon.

Do other hybrid manufactures share this deep sleep issue? My Toyota Sienna hybrid sits parked most of the time...no issues. A brand new vehicle displaying a non-standard event is not normal. If deep sleep is normal my XLT hybrid will soon be available for resale.

I think this may be a Ford "Exclusive" feature.

i was concerned with this issue too. Have a 2023 XLT and haven’t had any issue (fingers crossed) as of yet. Left the Maverick for a couple of weeks at home while I was away and 2nd week in received the message in the FordPass app. Upon returning home drove the truck for two days and message has since went away!!

It just means your Maverick is tired of waiting for you. Take a red eye and pick it up earlier ;) Good luck and happy Mavericking.

Congratulations on finally getting your Maverick!

I would not worry about the deep sleep message. I have been getting them on mine for about 18 months now, but the Mav has never failed to start for me when I got into it. Has even been parked for 7+ days while I took out of town trip and did not have a problem. Only seems to affect the remote start.

And now that you have it, perhaps one of the first mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

Two styles/sizes available:

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Glossy) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($5 delivered)

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Transfer) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($6 delivered)

It's a Ford thing. I had a '08 Camry Hybrid that was 14 years old, never had to replace the 12v battery while I owned it. These Ford's have terrible 12v battery management software.
