It's 15 years from now, your maverick is at the bottom of it's depreciation curve, and you've gotten all you wanted out of it in terms of it being a normal vehicle. You decide to modify it, and go wild, how will you modify yours?

Personally, I'd buy one of Ford's ev crate motors, and use it to power the back wheels of our hybrid. Raising the total power output to over 470 hp. Lower it, add some performance suspension bits, and better brakes. Maybe a mild wide body kit with some tinted lights, and a roof spoiler.

In 15 years, I would like to learn how to play a fire spitting electric guitar on the front of my 2038 Maverick: Mad Max edition.

We'll see if our first years will make it that long. If mine is still around, I won't be the owner.

I plan on being dead in 15 years...
I am not planning to be dead; but likely will be. If not and I actually get a Mav; will turn it into a rag top. Just like my son did to my ex-wife's car( with out her permission ).

Do you realize how deep a "thought experiment" is; Albert?

I was wondering about adding electric motors at the rear of the hybrid to give it that added push in the snow. 10hp per wheel ought to do it. Just wondering.
I'm finding the power in my XLT adequate for everything. To me the Maverick is all about utility and thrift and it's doing a great job at that. Right now there's some firewood in it and I might pick up a load of manure on Sunday.

I'm assuming you're young. I love my Maverick and I'm going to modify and enjoy it now, and I certainly won't have it in 15 years.

I will be alive in 15 years, or my wife will be a millionaire. either is fine 😄

in 2004 I bought a new unsold 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 8 off a lot with 4 miles on it - literally never test driven. I drove it 107k miles over 8 years and I'll probably but that mileage twice as fast in the Maverick. if I can sell a first year Evo and move on, hell yes I will do the same with a first year Maverick. I'm not into nostalgia. newer is usually better, a lot newer is almost always a lot better. it just costs more.

I think we probably will see a Maverick ST in 2024 and I'll order one and sell this truck when/if that happens.

I would not even touch it unless something is broken

If it even lasts 15 years by then everytime you touch something three other things will likely break.

Heck, I'm just hoping that my Sept 15, 2022 order (for a '23 Maverick) will be fulfilled by 15 years from now...

I won't be around in 15 years, maybe someone else will have it to mod.

In 15 years we might need two horses attached to the front to pull it around the way things are going!🤣🤣 That's if you can afford two horses!
