Sorry...should have said flossing MY teeth. I was using the inclusive "your" meaning myself as well. Example: "It really sucks when your vehicle breaks down on vacation".
No apology needed. I thought your reply was hilarious. It's just one never knows how the recipient might take it. But @Cherokee dishes out much of the same, so I'm pretty sure he's good enough for equal blowback.

Let's hope @Cherokee takes this in the good natured jest intended. I think he would.
I did I did !

I do miss the cars of the seventies.

Key in the ignition,
Start,
Gear shift and go.

I pulled every bell, beeper or buzzer out of my cars.
Only thing I left was the turn signal clicker because it needed that solenoid to work.

Wife drove a 1996 Cherokee for 394,000 miles, got great gas mileage, ran perfect
With electrical tape covering the check engine light from twenty something thousand miles on.
Diagnostics said my cat was clogged,
My O2’s were bad,
My ECM as bad.
All bullshit.

Doesn't disappear immediately going into R or D?

24XLT it does.

Of course if you have other options popping up behind that notice also requiring an OK to say keep a Myview - ya, bothersome.
No, it sticks there annoyingly until the timer expires.

This was a change with the sync 4 2025s.
What can I say...I'm an analog guy struggling in a digital world. Although I was once on an IT project at work and one of the standards we were held to was minimizing the number of
"clicks" a user needed to do when using the system.
The digital worls was so promising when it showed up decades ago, but instead of the cool customization and informative interfaces we get 60 second windows telling us that we're buckled in.

Also applies to the stupid rotary shifter. Doesn't solve any issue, but completely breaks with 50+ years of linear shifters, defeating muscle memory. How many times have I shifted this thing from reverse to park (instead of drive) while doing a 3-point turn ...

Novelty for novelty's sake, doesn't serve any useful purpose and even makes it functionally worse. Just plain stupid ...
I learned to drive on a 1964 AMC Rambler station wagon, It was the old and tired family car handed down to me by my father. It had a push-button transmission shifter on the dashboard, to the left of the steering wheel.

This annoys me so much with the new interface on our copiers. So many unnecessary clicks to enable the function keys, then select their assignment, then enable changing the name because our software names the button a really long name so it gets reduced to micro-font to fit within the button

Never thought I'd run into another Rambler station wagon veteran. Yeah, my dad had one . . . under powered 6 cyl gutless wonder. It was at best, sufficient. Never got it as a hand me down as my dad splurged on a '67 Chevy wagon. The V8 was a huge all-around improvement.

We had the sedan version. I remember those buttons and Dad cussing them. Dad ended up trading it for a Dodge Dart.

I hate the digital fuel gage on my 24 eb also I get 49-510 miles / tank.
If I want 49 miles to a tank, I'll drive my '72 Eldorado with it's out of tune 500!
