I'll premise this by saying that I plan on keeping my hybrid for 15-20 years so I'm wondering if there's anything I should routinely add to my fuel tank to ensure smooth sailing for the long run?

I currently has a 2017 RAV4 Hybrid with about 60k on it. I’ve used Lucas fuel additive twice. I’m not sure if I’ve noticed any discernible difference. However, I do like to occasionally add it. For good measure. The main thing (hybrid or otherwise) is to never let the tank run dry. This helps to preserve and cool the fuel pump.

I have added a bottle of Techron to my gas tank about every 3000 miles for six years in my 2011 Genesis coupe, and it ran as good as new at six years. I've done the same in my 2016 Genesis coupe, and it still runs as good as new. It's good stuff Maynard ;)

I have an Edge with 135k miles on it. I add a bottle of Addtec after I get an oil change for good measure. Knock on wood going strong.

I did do a fuel system cleaning once. Not sure noticed any difference. I do regularly get down to the single digits on miles of fuel left and so far hasn't seemed to be an issue.

I've always added the Lucas Fuel Treatment and Injector Cleaner to my Fiesta's tank every 5th or 6th fill up (about 3,000) miles. I believe anything that helps clean the engine is a good thing.

Probably do the same for the Maverick.

Have several "mechanic" friends and they all swear by Techron. I buy it in the 12 pack at Costco. 1 bottle added at every 3rd or 4th full tank fill-up. The other alternative all of them suggests is just buy your gasoline from Costco when it's convenient since Costco adds Techron to their fuel at the gas pump, plus it is always the lowest cost per gallon in the area.

BG products for me. BG Platinum 44K for hybrids or BG CF5 every oil change. Both are excellent fuel system cleaners. Pricey stuff but top quality.
