Front USB Location

I was curious if others think it's a little awkward trying to insert a flash drive into the front port. I believe it's because there is not a lot of space above it and it sits back under the dash. It also appears to be at a slight upward angle, and therefore not a straightforward plug in.

Just use a short flash drive. No problems with the location in my XLT. This one goes in either USB port.

can barely see it when plugged in and unlikely to get caught on anything and break off.

Yes very awkward, but I'm too cheap to buy something else. I would use my phone instead, but I got a cheap pixel with a very small storage capacity. I keep my mixtapes and 3 hour club trance mixes.

You are exactly right. I buy music on flash drives now instead of a CD if they are available, otherwise I have a CD player I can use as well.

Yes.
I use freerip to transfer songs from CDs to my MP3 library. Have around 10,000 songs on the flash drive in the Mav with songs filed in folders by playlist and artist. Between that and Spotify I have pretty much everything I want to listen to. I use the phone for Spotify but I have a bunch of music stored on that also.

Huh! I didn't know we could do this. I have YT premium so usually all of my liked songs are downloaded onto my phone, but this is extremely good to know cause alternatives are always appreciated. Thanks for the info!
