Teenage son who got his license back in Nov2024 and been driving Mighty Mav since, replaced his first flat tire under an hour 👍🏻
Unfortunately, Ford Pass app didn’t alert me, so I was unable to give him a heads up before heading out for a sailing race this morning 😞
Today, my 2023 Mighty Mav joined the CV axel issue club at 18,400 miles.
It was time for an oil change and rear camera recall so I also noted the truck is shuddering under acceleration. Truck was ready next day 👍🏻
Very grateful for everyone's input on this forum!!
The middle seat sensor is very sensitive. I keep it buckled. I would have teenagers sitting on the sides and the middle shows unbuckled.
I put heavy bags and groceries on the side seats and it doesn’t trigger the sensors as if they don’t exist.
Today was $2/loading at a local Waste Management facility. It’s only couple miles (4.2 mil round trip) so I managed to bring home five loads of compost in a three hour window. Mighty Mav did great, mid-20s mpg, down and up, with a long flat stretch in between.
The last load caused the tailgate...
My teenage son is learning how to drive so I’m in the passenger seat with the radio off and the rattles are driving me CRAZY!!
I find myself pressing on various parts just to see which one is the source and sticking cardboard to stop it.
The rattle is the worst part about this vehicle!!
Today, Mighty Mav is 365 days and 12,107 miles old. It’s been trouble free experience so far!
One oil change at 10k, four recalls completed and 1 recall pending (Frozen rear view camera display image).
I still haven’t used the rear sliding window, may in it’s second year I will ;-)
Did you have any recalls done while the vehicle was serviced? If yes, nothing to worry about, the mileage will improve after couple trips. Edit: This is was my case and MPG has improved even with temperature rising and vent turned up to 2-3.
