Hi Group:
After a long brain debating between lift kit or leveling kit I've decided I'll go with the leveling kit, my Mav is almost done with the Pirelli tires so I'll be changing them for a bigger ones, so, I want more ground clearance in the front. Now, I've read here about the truck front axle being affected after lift and leveling kits being installed, can someone share if this is true and how often is happening?
Also, any recommendation for a good quality leveling kit?

Thanks in advance

I am asking this seriously not sarcastically. Why do so many Maverick owners want to raise it up so it is higher? 1 of the reasons I bought a Maverick was it being lower for entry and exit. I was tired of climbing into the trucks. Is it just a hot rodder thing? I just never have understood the lift or lowering modifications but I also don't go rock climbing in my expensive to replace vehicles. Thanks for any insight.
Because it is way lower on the front and looks like a sports car in that fashion. If that is the look you want, keep it. Many folks want to lower the rear for the opposite effect.

Personal preference.

Its a simple geometry question. Whether you put the spring tower pucks in or put in longer springs, you change the CV joint angles. If you want to raise a unibody vehicle, you need to design a new engine cradle that will lower the drivetrain in the body instead. If you wanrt to raise or level a Mav, you got the wrong vehicle. Personally I want a vehicle that looks like a real truck, not a wannabe monster truck.

Better approach angle. Not all Mavericks are street princesses.

I just had my rough country level kit removed. I've had 3 axles replaced and going over speed bumps just makes a horrid sound and rattles the maverick terribly. Since having it removed, the ride is SO much nicer and with 245/70 17's I can hardly tell the rake is there.

Spacer kits aren't the best option.

Mine is transportation from point A to point B. I use paved roads. You do what you want. I just asked a question.
So you came here to ask a question about why people are different than you. You do what you want, though. It is the internet after all.

...and I answered it: for better approach angle. It's not a "hot rodder" thing. Thanks for your permission, I will continue to do what I want. Hopefully you will too, but I don't think you need my permission.

You're Welcome! I'll continue to do what I want, too! Thanks for letting me know that people don't hot rod their mavericks. I'm sure the EPA would bust them if they tuned their ecoboosts. Besides, that would defeat the purpose of point A to point B transportation only!

I think you'll find that the rake is there for two reasons having nothing to do with sporty looks. First, would be to make it slightly more aerodynamic for MPG purposes, secondly to make it ride a little more level with somewhat of a load in it. Just my thoughts anyways.

If I decide bigger tire no leveling, 245/70 is bigger I can install?

That totally depend upon the tire design. The square edges of a 245 LT offroad tire will almost certainly rub in turns, while you could maybe get away with 245 SUV tires.

Thanks Master, I'm looking for a A/T tire like BG K02, I can't complain about the Pirelli, gives me a solid 22k+ miles.
