I have an Escape with the 2.0L Ecoboost...basically the same engine and design.
I have a question...does the front passenger driveshaft side have a center bearing on the half shaft between the output of the tranny and the wheel hub?
Is the tranny, rear end and PTO the same as the Ford Escapes?
If so this is a source of issues since on the Escapes that bearing tends to wear out causing a lot of front end issues before it is discovered as the problem. Also the rear end differentials on the Escapes make a lot of noise at certain speeds. I hope that same rear end is not being used on the 4wd vehicles. Another issue was the PTO gears for the driveshaft to the rear end. I'm hoping all these parts have been redesigned for the Maverick.
If my new Maverick has this same exact setup as an Escape I may get an extended warranty since I have issues with this design and the parts used. I should have bought one for my Escape.
