Front camera obscured message

We just did about a 300 mile drive down the Central Valley. Judging from the appearance of our windshield, we must have made a significant reduction in the Central Valley mosquito population. After a while I got a warning on the instrument screen that the front camera was obscured. I didn't even know I had a front camera. We did not order the larger camera system. Then I got another message that the collision avoidance system is not longer working. I know what that is. What I don;'t understand is where to find the camera? Any photos?

Stand in front of your truck and look at the top of the windshield. You'll see a blackened area with a clear opening in the center, that's the camera. Probably obstructed with bugs just like the collision avoidance radar.

Top center of your windshield. That camera is used for the collision avoidance system, which is why you're getting both error messages. A quick clean and you're good to go!

Even base models have a forward facing camera for systems like pre collision and lane keeping, located behind the windshield near the rearview mirror.

Central Valley resident here. The camera is within reach of the windshield wipers. Keep your washer fluid topped off and give it a little squirt every once in a while.

Mine here in Northern Ohio seems overly sensitive. Constant warnings and systems not working due to any frost or snow. Multiple warnings on and off, gets very annoying.

I've only had those warnings once in 3 years in Ontario, in the middle of a heavy snowstorm. Either yours has something wrong with it or you are not cleaning your windshield or using your wipers.
