yeah, covering my whole instrument cluster with electrical tape just sounds so cool.........A short strip of black plastic tape would alleviate the pain temporarily.

I have this same problem on both vehicles. There is nothing there and it goes off. Percollision is turned off in both yet it still yells about the front camera being blocked/covered/can't see it if it. It's clear and clean everytime. Where I live it's icy and I tow trailers, there is no situation where I want some photo eye jamming on the brakes, EVER. Dealers are no help in trying to fix this, neither is Ford directly. If someone figures this out it would be great because it's more of a hazard then help.To what end? Are you getting too many "you are following too close" warnings?
A questionable idea to begin with.I'm tired of how sensitive my windshield camera is. Has anyone successfully disabled it? either by pulling the fuse or using forscan? I did ty searching and found no results. And no I dont want comments saying its a silly idea, it's my truck and cameras havent always been around.
Yeah, already been done. In fact been off since the vehicle was picked up from dealer. Still doesn't turn it off, shut it up, or actively have random warnings when there is nothing in front of you. Literally nothing, clean glass, and no frost or water. Dealer says there is no codes, no cracks in glass, and nothing they can do. If this tech is what your relying on for braking to avoid an accident you should stop driving.Using steering wheel menu settings> Driver Assistance> Pre-Collision Assistance> Uncheck Active Braking.
If you can't find this, look up how to find it in your user manual. Search the digital (.pdf) version for: Driver Assistance
If the active braking cannot successfully be turned off in your settings, there is something wrong and it is under warranty. I easily disabled the active braking, using the settings I posted....Dealer says there is no codes, no cracks in glass, and nothing they can do. Yes, while it says it's off in the settings, it still will do the alarm and red flashing warning randomly. Ironically when there is nothing there. Driving through snow storms and fog and not a peep.If the active braking cannot successfully be turned off in your settings, there is something wrong and it is under warranty. If in your situation; I would find a competent dealer, report the first dealer to Ford (800 334-4375) and report the safety problem to NHTSA.
I didn't lnow that was a thing!I didn’t know that could be adjusted.
He didnt tell you what to do... He raised an important statement that in my opinion you should consider.i asked for none of this, and yet i get it. always that one guy who wants to tell me what to do, but doesnt want to pay my bills.
He'll never see that advice since he's banned from the forums. You are posting on a public forum, anyone can comment what they want.. You either read it or you dont. Throwing a fit about it is just laughable... grow up.
