That has me wondering if switching from blue was the right call. We wanted Velocity Blue but when it wasnt available decided Hot Pepper Red was gonna go best with the orange and the mud I am going to cover it in.

I see you're from Alabama. I'm from Tuscaloosa and share the same hatred for orange and blue together. It's the only reason I ordered an XL instead of an XLT. I could not look at the blue interior and orange accents of the XLT every single day and feel okay with it.
