Recently. My wife and I headed out in the Maverick to run errands. We decided to save time by running through a fast food drive-in for breakfast. In addition to our biscuits, we each ordered OJ and coffee. As we started to drive off, we realized we had four drinks and two available drink holders. We made do, eating and driving with one hand and holding a drink in the other. That led to my search for a better solution. I found an insert that fits just in front of the center console and provides two additional cupholders. In my case that would mean giving up two other added accessory trays and their storage options. Continuing my search, I came across Maxzina’s car door cupholders and ordered a pair.
Constructed of hard ABS plastic, the cupholders are held in place by a wedge that is captured between the side window and the window sill. In addition, a tab on the underside of the holder snaps into the door side just above the door handle. Fitted this way one can easily attach for use or remove them to store out of sight. When attached they provide a secure location for one’s coffee tumbler. Maxzina also provided a double-sided tape pad for those looking for a more permanent mount. My plan is to keep them under the front passenger seat until needed.
