FORSCAN: Missing bodycm module

Hey all! Newbie here with a question.

I bought a Forscan ELM cable on Amazon. After a couple of hiccups, I was able to get it connected to my Mav using a laptop. The tweaks I want to make (global open/disable double honk) are apparently in the bodycm module, but that module is missing from the list of modules. Any ideas about what's going on here?

Which modules are showing up? The Maverick has multiple CAN buses. More expensive OBD adapters can automatically switch between the different buses.

Here are a couple pics of the modules that are listed. I bought the cheaper option for the ELM cable, and I ordered the recommended one today. It will arrive tomorrow. Hoping that fixes the problem.

For what it is worth, when adding cruise control to my 2022 XL, the most recent version of Forscan did not have what I needed. I downloaded an older version and the modules I needed were there.

The firmware on the computer? I downloaded the most up to date version from FORSCAN...

The adapters usually have their own drivers and firmware to download. FORScan can automatically update the firmware for some adapters like the vLinker.

Also when you go to rescan after getting your new cable or whatever delete the old truck profile it may have saved. Otherwise it may tend to only look for the known modules.

It's the same list in the Chip tab. I only used that tab because it's like the list that Automate sent over.

I was wondering about this. I looked around today trying to find an old version and was unsuccessful. Do you remember where you found an older version?

I found it on the forscan website. I don't have my laptop available to check where exactly I got it on the site. But I know for sure I got it there. I can check tomorrow.

I know I downloaded Forscan in March and there was a new version from February 2023. I went back and found one from October 2022 and it had what I needed.

At the bottom of the main screen on Forscan, look for "Full FORScan v2 Changes History" near the bottom. It lists all the older versions you can Download. That is where I got the older version.

Update: after using the higher quality link cable, the problem went away, and I was able to access all relevent modules. Dropping a link to the good one. It was 3x the price of the other, but I suppose it was worth it...
