Guys, I'm no audiophile, and I'm not modding my stock speaker system. That said, I DID use Forscan easy mode to simply change to the "Flat EQ" setting and IMO, it's a significant improvement in the overall sound from the system.

Again, as someone who isn't hung up on my vehicle's audio quality but does enjoy listening to music while driving, I was quite pleased to get what I thought was a pretty good bump in sound quality for the low, low price of pressing a few buttons.
Hey there,

Curious, I'm assuming that you have the B&O yes?

His signature says he has an XLT, so probably not.
I was thinking the same, but he also has Lux in there, so I wasn't sure. I'm kind of assuming that Lux = Luxury = Lariat = B&O?

no, XLT lux is also a thing. it's mainly a cold weather package.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the front door speaker wires at the radio module wiring behind the HVAC controls are Right front door + yellow/orange - green/brown, Left front door + Blue - Grey/brown.

I ask because I tapped the rear speakers for a signal to my Alpine mono amp after setting the EQ in Forscan to Flat, and the bass sent to my subwoofer still seems meh at best. Some songs are better than others, but still not right.

My Kicker C4 4" rear pillar speakers do put out some midbass, where the oems didn't at all even with the EQ set to Flat in Forscan.

Check to make sure your stereo is set to "all seats" and not driver in the settings. I think I remember someone saying you'll get full signal to the rears if it is set to all seats. I'm not sure if that is relevant or not when the EQ has been set to flat. As far as the wire colors, I'm useless there. I used the PAC harness, and paid no attention to the colors, since it was labeled...

There could be a lot of reasons for this really. I am pulling my signal from the fronts, fwiw. What sub/enclosure do you have?

Sound Decisions p.s. 10". Same sub and box size sounded incredible in my 16 F150 xlt using the OEM sub connector after having the dealer enable it with IDS. Yet it sounds meh, as some of the bass, especially kick drum is missing in most songs in the Maverick tapping the rear speakers for a source.

Seems like the rear speaker signal isn't getting bass below 35 Hertz. I'm hoping the front speakers do get bass signal below 35 Hertz.

I'm not familiar with that enclosure. I know there are multiple Sound Decisions, so maybe you're talking about a different one than I am thinking of. Either way, something must be going on. It could be the rear speaker taps, but I can't say for sure given I've never used them myself. I was able to find this:

Sorry I meant to say ground shaker box. I've looked at so many boxes over the past 3 weeks I couldn't remember the proper name it was. I just had them send me one without the plastic nameplate screwed into it. As I did not want any extra holes or reasons for rattles and I could see that plastic causing rattles possibly. I just tossed the plastic name plate and four screws in my toolbox.

I don't believe it to be my connections as they're all soldered connections, with heat shrink and Tessa tape, I don't play around with any of the tap connectors. My Gain is set to 65%, LP Filter 100 hz, and Bass EQ is +10 db.

Here are my amps settings and I usually keep my bass knob at 50% or less.

Sorry, I didn't mean your actual taps. I meant the fact that you're getting your signal from the rears... I thought it looked like the ground shaker box, but wasn't sure. .4-.45 is a little small for a 10, so I'd expect a little low bass to be missing, but not the kicks like you say. Since they're usually centered in the 45-55hz region, the sub should have no problem with that. The diagram above is all I have on speaker wire colors. I would definitely try tapping the fronts and see what happens. Let us know what happens!

Yup, not looking forward to it. Also this shallow mount sub is made to perform well in a smaller volume sealed box, .4 cubic feet or greater, where this box is just over it at .45.

It isn't hard to get to, and running a couple of speaker wires should be pretty painless. It'll just take a little time to route the wires around. If you plan on doing more later, I'd highly recommend getting the PAC T-harness from Crutchfield. It'll make life so much easier, and you won't have to cut a single factory wire.
