100% true Colin. The linked video clearly shows that he keeps his parked outside. The simple acting of indoor parking makes a "yoooooge" difference indeed. The Truxedos with that canvas like material are über sharp!
Hi Michael,
It's been a good while since you've installed this so I was wondering how it's held up?
Any care tips other than the normal wash and care/detailing that one would do anyways?
Thanks Lane. This a great feedback, much appreciated as usual.
In terms of longevity, I found a rather helpful "2 1/2 years later" review;
Also, preventitive care via there cleaner may be a very good idea...
Welp, it's a toss up between it and the Truxedo Sentry CT. They both have the same finish however just some notes that I've gathered so far that may help;
I had posted a question on Amazon about the x15 in terms of noise at high speeds. Two response said none observed and a third said...
Hey there.
A bit late to the discussion however BillieBars seems to have one that looks compatible with tonneau covers;

I too am weighing which will be more practical; a tonneau cover, a bed rack with...
That's why it looks sooo good though, its texture and resulting sheen looks sharp.
So no droning or sort of low frequency at high speeds due to air fetching over the soft cover surface?
Man, this cover looks really really good. You're right which is why I have this thread book marked. And thanks for the install notes, valuable indeed.
Buy nice or buy twice as they say.
Hmm, or perhaps modify the brackets for the sports bar itself. I can see the lower bracket be an L shape versus the angle that it's at now and same goes for the upper bracket?
At $500-$750, the sports bar would be cheaper then knee surgery for sure.
Man that looks sharp on your ride for cretain.
I can see the bars being practical for me as an aid to pull up into the bed. My big feet slipped off the bumper and I almost got really hurt. Knee barley missed the bumper, man that woulda killed.
I step into that bed plenty, yard work, hauling...
I've had success using restorers and cleaners by Chemical Guys on older cars. Many brands have something similar but I can only vouch for what I've used.
No matter the brand, send them an email with pics to see what's suggested.
But I would first clean with warm water and a rag as you need to...
Welp, try not getting caught up too much in specs.
As my uncle once told me, actually he always tells me; "analysis-paralysis".
I think choosing a ride is more about feel than specs.
My wife and I, we love stepping into our Mav.
However the technicals matter as well. So it's a balancing...
Thank you
Thank you very much for the valuable nuggets. I'm about 700 miles away from my first change which will be at 1.5K and am arming myself with info.
For any one thinking that I'm doing it too early and you are probably right, welp that's simply how I roll. Plus the temperature deltas...
Ditto on the OEM offering. Many times the factory add on fromage is the best.
For example, I spent some coin on the black platinum letter inserts from Ford after having rifled through several flat and puffy decals. The latter doesn't even come close, in fact the flat decals show the factory...
Hello,
I'm very curious how these compare to the Mabett flares. For starters I knew that the Mabett flares are short about 1/8" to 1/4" in fitting the fender openings 100%. Not all corners but some.
Another Mav owner posted that when spilling gas on his Mabett flares, the plastic discolored...
Welp.... seeing that we just bought our 24' Tremor in Lariat trim (but I think all Tremors have the Lariat package?) for $39K and that the dealer seemed annoyed with us, we didn't get much else.
Oh but we did take home a parts catalogue, makes for some good bathroom reading.
However I do...
