I started seeing this occasionally. FordPass is notifying me that remote start etc has been disabled and will clear once I drive the truck. I drive it dails and now am seeing this pop up daily. App says I shouldn't be concerned. Should I be since it's now more frequent?

UPDATE: I have only a couple mile commute to and from work everyday. Seems like I wasn't driving my truck enough. Soon as I took a decent trip several days ago the alert in the app disappeared and I haven't seen it since. I've found a slightly longer way home which gives me some brief highway speeds to put an extra mile or two driving each day.

Try putting the truck on a trickle charge overnight. Connect to the 12v jump point in the engine compartment (not directly to the battery under the back seat). That may help if you don't drive much or do a lot of short-trip driving.

Is this problem still going on? I certainly hope it does not exist on my 2024 or I'll probably go back to a dumb not connected vehicle. Even if it has to be significantly older.

I don't have a hybrid, but I am aware of several service bulletins for the hybrid related to the HV -> 12V charging cable and the fuse on it.

I would make sure those have been performed. I don't know if they are recalls. There are many threads about it.

If those have all been done then you either have a parasitic drain or a weak battery. If you have installed any accessories vet those thoroughly to make sure they aren't the issue. Deep sleep can kill everything except for OBD2 port connections and the basic unlocking and starting functions of the truck. Everything else will be cut off by deep sleep, but if it's draining and you don't expect it to, you might be able to resolve it. A dashcam with parking mode, for example.

If it's a weak battery, you can try a trickle charger but make sure it's a modern device with automatic shut off. Nothing, and I mean nothing, kills a car battery faster than being overcharged.

Are temperatures dropping where you are at? This may explain the increased frequency.

I have not had any battery or connected services warnings at this point, but have been monitoring battery temperatures and have some reason to believe that the truck may be heating the battery coolant while at rest. It may be using the 12v battery to do this.

This is ongoing as temps drop here in Michigan.

I'm from Southern Ontario and yes, started noticing the app disconnecting more often as the temps have been dropping. My trips are usually short too less than 3 miles/5 km so maybe not enough driving to charge the battery. I'll be chatting with Ford Technical sometime today

Just got off the phone with a Ford Pass tech guy. He's concerned that I have a battery drain since resetting the app etc didn't correct whatever might be wrong. I have to go back to my dealer anyways soon so will have to get this addressed.

Starting to have same messages, possibly need a longer drive than work commute on my '23 Lariat. Going to charge and test the battery, since it occurs more on cooler days. - Luckily, I have both a charger & tester.

My gut tells me it's the battery, as the power ports show over 14v when powered on.

I get the same message about once a week. When I check the battery it's at 12.4 volts?

Aside from recalls for the cable, I think the consensus for the problem is the lower quality OEM flooded battery, it is just not up to the task. If you drive enough you may not notice it or get any messages, but if you do short trips it will take more juice than it replaces with charge and that adds up each day until you see a problem, message, or damage the battery. If you are that low state it only takes leaving the car undriven for a few days to drain it.

I put mine on a Noco 1 maintainer last night and it flashed the LED showing below 75% charge and I drive daily on a short commute, came out to green this morning. I might top it off each weekend until the battery needs replacing and then go with a much better quality AGM battery and set the computer to know it is AGM.

Saw this post today about the dealers needing to replace batteries on the lot as the cars sat undriven. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/my-xl-with-mods.20478/#post-385665
