It got built because your dealer still had allocations. If they didn't, it wouldn't have mattered what your priority code was.I had a code 19 and it got built
OP's dealer likely doesn't have any allocations left.

We know that you have been waiting for your 2023 Ford Maverick®since at least September, and we truly appreciate your patience.
The good news is that the key commodities holdups that have impacted the auto industry are easing up, allowing us to complete production on most Maverick orders with the 2.0L EcoBoostĀ®engine. Unfortunately, battery availability continues to be an issue for Maverick orders with the 2.5L Hybrid engine. We would love to tell you how this will impact the order process for 2024 Maverick, but weāre still working through the details. We commit to getting you further details in July, either from us or directly from your dealer.
Please know that your 2023 Maverick order remains a priority. We will continue to schedule production through September and build through October.
Thank you again for your understanding throughout this process.

Ford should not take more orders than it can handle. And this blind allocation system is antiquated and broken. What a train wreck the pandemic caused, not Fords fault. Every industry has issues.
The dealers know what they can order, the blame is on them for not communicating with the customer.Ford should not take more orders than it can handle. And this blind allocation system is antiquated and broken.
Did you research what Ford did for two years of the design? Doesn't sound like it. Did you do any research about the dealer? How to order one? What to expect? Doesn't sound like it. If there was only some source of information easy to get to that had the answers. Some day they may have one. They could call it the internet. And have forums that have this information.I didnāt have a lot of faith to begin with however I feel that my salesman lied to me. He made me a lot of promises to get me to place my order through him.
He knew I was desperate for a vehicle. I wanted a Maverick and he lead me to believe that he was going to put me into a truck asap. He did nothing of the kind.
i was not aware that a priority could be assigned to an order. After reading all of the comments everyone wants their truck to br top priority so that will not work. He let me down and if I hadnāt been diligent contacting as many dealers as possible I would not be driving a Maverick now.
If there is one sin that Ford committed was not knowing the demand for what they wanted to sell. During the two weeks that they used to design the truck they should have been running focus groups to get a feel for the market. That is just bad marketing and bad management. The guy leading the parade seems like a good ole boy that pulling up his pants and saying weāre gonna straighten this place out. So far I am not impressed and think that even though he has not been there long his time on the job should not last much longer.
Ford should only take 5,000 hybrid orders for 2024 and only take orders from dealers that sell 5 vehicles a month. It is unfair to take orders from mega dealers or fleet customers. At least all the complaining would change to something else.Ford should not take more orders than it can handle. And this blind allocation system is antiquated and broken.
Agreed, better to under estimate and over deliver (Can always re-open order banks if production permits). What ever the dealer allocation model, Ford and it's dealers come up with it needs to be conveyed to the public as we have no idea what dealership has what allocations. We just want a ford truck for agreed upon terms. Seems simple enough.Ford should only take 5,000 hybrid orders for 2024 and only take orders from dealers that sell 5 vehicles a month. It is unfair to take orders from mega dealers or fleet customers. At least all the complaining would change to something else.
I researched the Maverick and knew going in what was going to happen. I burned up the phone line trying to find one before I ordered mine. I was made a lot of promises by the dealer that sells the most Fords in the world. Not one came true. They knew needed a vehicle and let me down.Did you research what Ford did for two years of the design? Doesn't sound like it. Did you do any research about the dealer? How to order one? Everyone that saw how many hybrids were unbuilt for 2022 and then rolled the dice by ordering a 2023 should ask themselves why they ordered anyway. They knew they were gambling on getting one. They accepted the risk.
