Thanks Ford points!

Kinda surprised how hard it was to clean up the exposed prep agent necessary for the install, but a bit of elbow grease & spray detailer prevailed.

Nice work! I had mine done by the dealership, and they put it on so crooked, I had them remove it.
I did it myself the next time and it was so simple. I even installed it so that little bit of the hood isn’t exposed underneath it like you can see under yours. I figured the point was to protect the paint, so I wanted the painted portion covered entirely 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I left a little metal hood exposed under the leading edge of the protector so when opening the hood, the protector wouldn't take that lifting load.

Certain that various Fast Lane techs at my Ford dealership would likely do so when I take it there for the future Ford points oil changes.

That’s a solid point, I definitely do feel that lip when lifting my hood.
Thanks sort of wish I waited and got one that covers the full front and doesn’t stick to the hood; I’ve got chips on the front parts of the fenders that are still exposed, and it’s definitely a PROTECTor and not a DEFLECTor because everything still hits my windshield.

I've had various deflectors on various vehicles over the years that mount with space off the hood and cover the fenders.

While they didn't use the sticky tape method, they did tend to let a ton of stuff gather behind them include dirt, leaves, branches, mud, bugs, etc., so I had to take them off frequently to clean properly behind them....only for them to muck up again in no time.

I've also had the bracket-mount ones vibrate and shake, especially on my 2018 F-150 Ford with a factory part. It was a rather disappointing Ford accessory that you could hear vibrate through the hood. I removed it in short order and tossed it out.

Nice! I like the look of that textured protector (better than the shiny smooth one). I probably would have gotten the same one If I didn't get PPF.
