Great News! I clicked on the "Ford" line on the Credit Report and a list of Ford models came up. The top of the list was the Maverick (ICE) rated at 73. Second one down from the top of the list was the Maverick Hybrid rated at 69. That is right up there with several Toyota models. My Maverick friends, that's good news. Way to go Maverick! I'm feeling much better about my choice to go with the Maverick now. I just need to continue to be patient waiting for my Maverick to be built and shipped. Order place Oct 9, 2021.

This guy put 58k miles on his Ecoboost XLT in a year 😯 and hasn't had any major issues. I think we will be ok.

New cars today are much better than back in the day when I bought my first new car (1968). That being said; my dad told me to never buy a new model in its first year. So I waited and ordered a 23Mav; and got lucky cause it will likely be a 24.

As someone who owns one I wouldn't buy it agian service is rubbish. Getting parts is rubbish warranty issues are we can't find it or we can't get parts. Over and over and over.... they treat you like your stupid and prey on people simply not knowing there getting screwed. To be honest I would never buy ford again and I've told 16 people to not buy it when they asked about it. People are surprised when you outline the problems what causes it and lack of warranty and simply not wanting to deal with it. Simply kick the can down the road till its out of warranty then hammer them with a big bill. I actually witnessed the dealer tell a customer they will fix the leak since it was in warranty period then booked it after and not warranty it.

Not sure what happened but their reliability data used to be spot on.

I remember being able to look at the ‘circles’ charts for the cars we owned through the 00s and the areas with black circles were the same areas we were getting repaired.
They have never been spot on . The hit job they did back in the 80's on the Suzuki Samari where they rigged the testing and wiped that vehicle off the map told me back then that Consumer Report could never be trusted on their Vehicle evaluations. I owned a Samari and it was a great off road vehicle...wish I had kept it....

One year old model hasn't been around long enough to not be seen as unreliable yet.
That's an understatement! I don't know what their research was based on, but I don't see how there could have been enough actually on the road to be statistically meaningful.

Can't argue with your facts, clarity, logic and hard data.

My Maverick is now for sale.

Just traded by 3.5L V6 '15 Edge in. Had 140k miles, zero issues. But I had a feeling things were coming. Traded it to get a low miles Rogue for my wife. I'll drive her Altima until the Maverick comes in then Altima is my son's.

If the Maverick can be as reliable as the Edge I will be happy. It was great. Just wanted to capitalize while I could still get some value for it, and even a reliable vehicle starts having issues when it gets to upper half of 100k miles. This way all of us are set on vehicles for a decade as long as we avoid accidents and take care of them.

I’ve heard rumours that dealers will spell an email incorrectly to avoid surveys getting into the hands of people that are likely to have complaints… I never got a new car owner survey. Jokes on them though, my issues with the purchase were paperwork related not truck related, not sure what they were afraid of. 😄
