Maybe it's the Tremor package but my experience of the Mav has been that it may not scream full size truck but it's definitely not what I would call car-like.

I have a feeling this new EV will be VERY car-like.
Well, the OG Ranchero in the 70's was very car-like, basically a Torino from B-Plr forward with a box instead of a rear seat and trunk.

The rendering isn't even in the same ballpark. For instance, the front end is body colored without a fake grille, and the hood slopes down near the front. Look at the mules and where the cutouts in the front for the headlights are, that gives you a good idea of how much the hood drops.

Hard to judge by a moving picture with coverings over the lights but does the driver's headlight already have burned out LED bulbs? 🤔 the passenger has 2 bulbs (or reflections) up top that the driver's side doesn't. Recall! 😅

I like the AI rendering game so here's my prompt to Gemini and it's guess:

Look up the spy photos of the new Ford EV truck and make an image of what that vehicle will look like based on the most current Ford design language.

Oh, look at those highly polarizing wheels!
This looks way more promising. I truly believe they're gonna do what they did for the lightning and make the front-end look like a plastic knock off of the original, and this already looks like a knock off of the MY25. Probably just add a fake grill in that unpainted "Action figure grey" and you'll be right on the money.

Knockoff of the original what? This is not a Maverick refresh. This is an all-new vehicle.

Original meaning a maverick, my bad should've specified.

Besides, even if it is an all-new vehicle isn't it a little too coincidental that their brand new Ev platform's first car looks exactly like one of their best selling models? They already tried an electric F-150 and that didn't pan out. What's stopping them from making an electric maverick, (Which a lot of people have been asking for) on this new platform as a marketing tactic/mass appeal? Just to ensure that people actually buy into this new platform so they can tell their investors it was a good idea.

It's not too farfetched to me from a business standpoint.

How can you claim a vehicle you haven't seen looks exactly like anything?

Surely MTC's disapproval will stop them from making an electric Maverick. They're already discontinuing Light Blue.

Yeah, it's really hard to tell with all the obvious "padding" they have on it.

It's all just guessing until they unveil it.
