Ford Performance Exhaust ( Chrome ) Current Price

I have the Ford Performance Sport Exhaust M-5200-MVB. It fits fine. It's definitely Borla.
It's loud on cold start. And I mean loud! Once it warms up it's not too bad. It's almost quiet on warm idle at stoplights. Other drivers at stoplights don't give you the evil eye.

It's probably the loudest street exhaust I've owned. I've considered cutting out the muffler and replacing with a Magnaflow, but I probably won't. If I'm going on a trip or I want quiet we drive my wife's Edge ST. The Lobo is for fun and occasional track & autocross so I live with the loud exhaust.

The 2025 2.0L / Lobo has an obnoxious cold-start and warm-up cycle.
I'm curious if the previous < 2025 2.0s have this same cold start cycle.
I suspect its something for emissions (and maybe GPF related???) -- even tho the early 2025 2.0s didn't get them (a GPF).

On that note, I'm blown away at how fast my Cat comes to temp within seconds of idle from cold start. A thousand+ degrees (per Forscan) in ~90 seconds..

But the muffler on that Ford Perf exhaust looks a Lot bigger than my MRT muffler, so it has to be a bit quieter than mine..

Aside from some very specific drone at certain RPMs in a certain gear on long decels down a long grade/descent. The volume/sound is great for me.
Even then, I don't let it bother me much, and you can drive around it some by upshifting to the next gear, and using a bit more friction brake instead of drive train/engine braking.

Sharing with my Maverick family: the current price of the FP chrome tip 2.0 exhaust on Ford.com is $399! I'm not sure what is going on.....the black tip exhaust is still $1000+ . I placed my order and it is confirmed. I used SHOP1225 promo to get to $350 shipped. I never planned on modifying the exhaust but a Ford branded 304 stainless full exhaust at that price is hard to pass up. I'm telling myself it is to avoid rust issues in the future and therefore I would be dumb to not buy View attachment 233247

The chrome version is no longer available on Ford.com, as of a week ago.

Looks like this was the credit for the original charge, unfortunately. I just wish the order pace would move to canceled or something other than processing.

It looks like another charge went through after previously it was gone. Seems like maybe that means it shipped or close to shipping even though the order still says processing.

Ford's parts and accessory website is probably great if all goes well, but if it doesn't, it will be one of the most painful experiences ever. I fought over a set of center caps I ordered and it took months and months to resolve. Even after I escalated it multiple times and got promises from supervisors and future discounts and anything you could think of, nothing ever materialized, least of all my refund! (no discounts or calls back ever or anything) They stopped talking to me altogether until I finally filed a charge back. Then they had no problem talking to me to tell me since I filed a charge back they wouldn't talk to me any more (?). They made me wait the full 90 days without answering the credit card company, out of spite it seems. All together, I spent countless hours on the phone and emailing and trying to deal with a refund for $40 center caps before my credit card company took care of me.

If you have money hanging out there from this exhaust...be prepared.
