Funny you should ask. I waited until the bulk of the winter was over and I installed it 2 weeks ago Thursday and took it off the following Monday. I am probably the guy you saw that had it listed on Kijiji for sale. I can honestly say it has excellent craftsmanship, a great tone at idle and full throttle but between 2100-2400 rpm which is where you typically drive on the highway it is too loud for me to tolerate. If people are sitting in the rear seats which happened when I brought my daughter and her buddies home from university that weekend, they ask for earplugs. Not an exaggeration. My wife refused to ride in it after she took it to the grocery store on the Saturday. Not an exaggeration. I love everything about my truck but I wanted nothing to do with driving it when the system was on it. After half an hour in it I would get out and spend the next few minutes continuously swallowing to try to get my ears to pop as though I just got off an airplane, particularly the left ear which is the side the system exits. Not an exaggeration. I sent MBRP an email to ask them politely if there was anything that could be done to quiet it down, which I would be happy to pay for and I got a reply from a customer service rep named Byron and he said he would go ask design and engineering if they had any ideas if anything could be done and since then nothing, so he either forgot or they don't care. I have a classic Formula 350 with a Dynomax system and a corvette with Magnaflow system and I was hoping this would be similar, a nice tone and a little louder. Both these systems have turbo mufflers so I may buy a Walker Super Turbo or Flowmaster 50 series and some 3" pipe and build the section to replace the MBRP muffler because either of those have to be quieter than a muffler you can see right through. I would prefer to fix it than sell it but if someone comes along with a reasonable offer and they have tough ears I would let it go a call it lesson learned.
One other consideration is that I don't think that Ford spent much on under side sound dampening and typically cars may have more of that. So what you're hearing inside your other vehicles isn't coming up through the floor as much.

While waiting for my wife in the parking lot of a furniture store I had a chance encounter with a fellow maverick owner also waiting for his significant other. His truck was lowered and had custom wheels and all manner of after market equipment and a seriously butchered exhaust. Talk eventually turned to my MBRP experience and he asked if I still had it and if I would part with it. We settled on a price we were both happy with and he got it the next day. After a week I sent him a message to ask if he had put it on yet and he said it was on the truck and it was exactly what he was looking for, although when people are in the back seat you can't hear what they are saying. God bless young ears.

You got that right. Take it from a musician, you can do hearing damage from too much of that loud stuff. I hate those cars with the sub woofers and 6K watt systems that rattle the bumper bolts off. They don't even make the music sound any better. I come from the 60's and I don't mind hearing a good healthy engine but there's something in the 4 cyl sound that resembles a hand saw. What I would like to see is a Mav with a set of side pipes.

man, that's crazy. here's a YT vid of the Borla system (which you and others have probably already seen). it seems like it would be pretty loud.
Sounds like SHIT! Just my honest opinion.

SHIT as in good shit or SHIT as in bad shit?

Note - the Ford Performance Borla uses a different muffler than the Borla Borla in the post.

I have the the Borla Borla on a MY 2025 and it sounds like bad shit. Bad as in bad, not bad as in good.
I had to add a resonator to quiet it down. Although cold start is still too loud.

I saw a thread awhile back with a picture showing split tailpipes, but I have been unable to find it again. Many of you have probably noticed, a lot vehicles now come with 2 tailpipes. I think it's mainly the aesthetic appeal, but it looks good to have a tailpipe on each side as opposed to just a twin tip. If the Mav came with that setup, I wouldn't care if it was still quiet.

As a side note, in my opinion the factory exhaust on the Mustang GT sounds like crap.
