Used mine toward the extended warranty. IIRC, 42,000 points was good for $210 off.

Our dealership told us Ford pass points could only go towards accessories, and not be used on maintenance items.
I took delivery of my Maverick on Friday 2/9. Was told the pass points would load in a few days and they could be used on oil changes, etc.

How long after you picked your truck up did it take for your points to show up and did you just have to keep looking in the app?
Almost 2 months.

You may try another dealer if possible, I’ve used them on a bed mat and service.
Agreed. I have actually never heard of a Ford dealership that won't take FordPass points for service.

I have met some new and woefully uninformed dealership employees who might say that, though. So, I'd check with your dealer again, and go elsewhere if that's really their policy.

Alright, I'm gonna have to have words with my dealership then.

The brake pads on our explorer need to be replaced soon, they're squealing on a daily basis. I'm gonna reach out to them and see if Ford pass points can go towards doing that repair.

Applied 70,000 points to my new Maverick. Will apply some of the new truck points (42,000) to oil changes at the dealer. Did that with the first truck and got 3 for the price of 2. Still have 1 left to use on the new truck when needed.

We just took delivery on a 2024 XLT and put the points into oil change service...we're getting 4 complete oil changes with our points. I don't have time or the required tools to do it myself, so it's a good use for the points to me.
Did all the dealer ask for the same points for oil change ?

whatever a works and tax costs, that's exactly the points I have seen deducted. it's 2 points per penny so it's pretty easy to match the amount of FordPass points consumed to your work order.

I still haven't received my points after 3+ weeks. I called my sales guy and he said they're a little slow right now and I should have them in a week or so. I may get on ford.com and try to resolve it there. I'll either use the points towards a modular bed liner or go with a bed mat, tailgate cover and bed cubby or two.

Hello,

I just got my new Maverick and am waiting for the Ford Pass Points to hit my account -- Trying to figure out what to buy with them. At first I thought heavy duty floor mats, then I realized I couldn't wait a month for those and ordered some just this afternoon from Rough Country.
My next thought is the Ford Dashcam they offer (https://accessories.ford.com/dashcam-140-dash-camera-1), and then have it installed at the dealer.

45,800 points for the Camera, and 19,200 for the Install, so I would have to pay out the difference of like - $115 give or take, I don't see many other options that I like on the website.
  • What did you buy with them?
  • Would you buy it again?
  • Suggestions on what to get?

Thanks! Have a great day
-Logan
I used mine to buy Carhartt seat covers.

Used mine when I purchased a premium care Ford Protect plan from Granger
Good idea... Thanks. Hadn't thought to use points at Granger.
Granger is offering Ford ESP at dealer cost thru Feb 29, with optional 18 months financing @ 0% interest for 20% down and a 5.6% fee. I'm looking at 8 months/125,000 miles with a $200 deductible. That's $390 down & ~$91/month after adding the 5.6% to the balance.
My down payment would be reduced to $180. 🤔

42000 points($210) are even not enough for three oil change. my dealer ask for $75 for oil change and filter replace.
