Noah,
I’ve seen about 5-6 guesses to my question but none from anyone that’s actually sat in a Maverick. Supposedly the Bronco Sport has vents under the front seats for the back passengers for hvac. I even saw an engineer quoted as saying the Maverick will also but no one has actually stuck a hand under, looked, or turned on the air to verify whether it does or doesn’t. I‘m not asking about the center stack I know it doesn’t but most cars at least pump air from hvac under the front seats to back passengers ( my German Shepherd).

Do the rear windows roll all the way down into the door?

Were you in the Lux package? What are your thoughts on how well equipped the Lariat is without the Lux package.
I believe that this was a lariat W/O the Lux package because the hitch was missing and other components. In my personal opinion, I believe that for what you get with the Lariat, standard equipment is impressive as hell with the price point. it felt luxurious as is in my opinion. I ordered an XLT myself for the sporty appearance, but the lariat with has a hint of sporty with all the luxury. I love it
FOrd killed it with this truck

Hi Noah. Some current sun visors can be extended along the side window to block sunlight all of the way to the "B" pillar to block the light for the driver or passenger. Does the Maverick has this? Thanks!
Hey atom, I am not sure, Definitely something I will look at next time I see it

I wish I Also had a completely definite answer, But for someone who sat in the back seat, I can say that myself and my friend who was with me experienced a draft on our feet while in the back. Now we were just so excited to experience it that this along with many other things was something in which we forgot to check out, so we never "cranked" the AC to check it out, but in the next up coming weeks when I go again, I will def check as I have a big German Shep / Akita mix who would love that as well haha!
thanks Scott!

Size difference inside or outside? Or both? Based on the dimensions of both trucks, I just assumed the Mav interior will feel a lot like the Ranger.
to be honest, not based off of numbers, the ranger feels very cluttered compared to the maverick. it could be due to the size of the dash, plus the center console, but my goodness there feels like a big difference.

In my experience, the only thing I wasn't a fan of in this model was the weird plastic interior, which I later found out was just for the manikin model because the car is technically unfinished lol.
so not much I can thing off, little to no negatives in my opinion. maybe odd was just the new interior, but I don't need to say that the interior being odd is a bad thing. It is fresh, new. The only similarities with the Maverick and other ford vehicles is like the cluster dash, the screen, and the buttons. But in my opinion that's a good thing because 1) they look good and 2) they have been tested thoroughly enough to be used in their vehicles

maybe I am not a big fan if the rims I saw on that model? which is why I got the rims I wanted on mine.

all in all what I can say JC is that I was impressed that ford pulled this off, and successfully.(SO FAR) the interior, exterior, everything. what the people wanted in my opinion. (ALSO the 40 ft towing angle was a game changer, similar to the bronco sport)

Wait wait….. what do you mean the weird plastic interior is for the mannequin? Is there a different interior plastic material or anything different from the interiors we’ve seen? Are you talking about the marble looking plastic.

I am a big fan of the interior overall. Not overly swank, sporty and practical.

YEs so the interior, on all 3 models is amazing, but on the one they built for the mannequin, it was kinda just thrown together so that it can be tested. Color was right but it was weird because the plastic was unfinished. Was told that's just because of the leather wasn't put in it yet. No big deal, they do that all the time. trust me when we saw the bronco more than a year ago? it was a horrible interior just for testing lol!

But the pictures we’ve seen from auto shows like Chicago, that’s the interior that is being released, correct?

Oh, no worries. I’m dense and need to read things 50 times, along with expressed clarification on stuff, since I also overthink every single thing ever. 😬😅

Trust me, it’ll take a lot for me to change my mind about getting the Maverick, like the world’s worst drive, or terribly uncomfortable seats. I’ve had plenty of experiences with Ford (owned a couple, worked for Ford in Florida, family owns a lot of Fords) so I’m not expecting many surprises.

I’m just insanely impatient.

Well I can just say based off my experience, and although in a lariat and 2.0L w/ AWD, I really loved it.

1) What did you think about the Active X seats?

2) Do they feel like leather in a way or something different?

3) During the test drive were you able to take any corners with some speed? Any body roll?

Thanks
Hopefully the Active X is like the premium synthetic seats in the VW's, the VW seat is imitation and it is fantastic.

(ALSO OFF TOPIC but for context) back to my very tall friend, he sat in a ranger for leg room comparison and with the seat all the way back in the ranger, his knees were hitting the steering wheel, and I couldn't (and wouldn't want to) sit behind him. I felt as if the Maverick interior has much more room
spacious
Good to confirm that the numbers add up. The Maverick on paper has more rear leg room (and I think even more combined leg room) than the Ranger.

I think part of it has to do with going with a unibody. No frame means more floor-to-ceiling cabin space!

Hi Noah.... Any chance you could park it next to a Ranger pickup (or other size I can compare) and take a picture to compare sizes? I'm struggling to envision how big/small this thing is!! I have a taller husband and I don't know if he will fit...or have to walk!
Have you seen these pictures from this thread where a 6'4" member posted a few pictures next to and in the Maverick and then next to a Ranger? That might give you an idea of sizing that you're looking for.
