I was just on the Ford website and saw this. How can they lease if they can't even build our retail orders?

Given that customers have the option to purchase or lease every other Ford, I'm not sure I see the problem. Looks like a good deal for those that vehicle hop anyway.

I agree there’s no issue and the customer should have the choice, but what? That’s a terrible lease…

$(329 * 48 ) + 3559 = $19,351 for a vehicle with msrp of $24,855?

I lease mine, since it is the first year model. I did $1,200 down and have $340 payment on a hybrid XLT Lux pkg. My lease buy out should be $16,000

I think a lease is a horrible idea and will never do one. It's essentially a long-term rental. However...

If someone vehicle hops anyway, the vehicle with destination would cost $472/mo if financed for 60 months at Ford's current advertised rate. That's a $150 a month difference. A vehicle hopper has a constant car payment, so little progress is ever made as it is. So, in that situation, this isn't a bad deal.

They build thousands of them a month. The number of people on this forum is a small number of Maverick customers.

Your lease buyout amount should be in your lease agreement. You know the figure when you lease. It is usually based on residual value and in most cases it is somewhere around 55% of the msrp.

Ford also charges a $500.00 fee to buy your lease

I don’t know….

a Nissan frontier was running $279 with the same down payment for only 18 months… Maybe it’s just detroits insane lease deals, but this is not good compared to anything offered right now.

You would be paying only $6k less to lease something instead of own it. You can’t car hop out of a lease like you can sell a vehicle.
