I was told I was price protected at the time I placed my order. We'll see if that actually pans out as my truck should arrive within the next two weeks. Hoping for the 0% 36 month offer.
Price protected, yes. Financing locked in protected, no

I went with 1.9 for 72 months. With only financing 24,000.00 The payments are cheap. I'll pay it off early anyway. If Ford bounces the interest rate. Then I'll go elsewhere. My loan through Ford is approved. But I doubt locked in with the interest rate. Who knows what it'll be when my Maverick arrives?

What about the extra cash you have squirred away for a bigger down payment while waiting, seems like that would offset the higher interest rate.

FYI Ford has no control over interest rates. What if the rates went down? Should Ford complain if interest rates drop?

I've always taken out a 5-7 year loan to lock in the lower payment, and then double and sometimes triple pay in the month. I do it because things come up and if necessary I can pay my minimum payment without hurting too badly. 🤷‍♀️ It's just me. I've been doing it for the last 4 cars, and have never kept my car note longer than 3 years. I paid off my used BMW in a year and a half.

That being said, I'll probably go with my credit union unless Ford gives me a smoking deal.

I was also told that the rates offered at time of order would be honored at delivery. I'm not even scheduled for production yet, so I see several rate increases before delivery. Seems like there are mixed opinions on this. Does anyone know for fact? Is it dealer's choice?

Let us know if your dealer honors the 0% that was available at the time you ordered. I, like many of us, was promised that I could get the original rate no matter when my truck arrives.

I thought the interest rate at the time of order, would be honored?
No. You are eligible for any rebates and promotions that will be available at time of purchase when the vehicle is available at the dealer. You don’t lock in an interest rate just because the dealer ordered a truck for you.

No. You don’t lock in promos or rebates. You will be eligible for whatever is offered at time of purchase.

Ford credit has raised the cost of financing by from .9 to 1%. 0% for three years is gone 5.9 is now 6.9%!
Glad I'm paying cash for mine don't have to worry about those issues, and the rates are only going to keep going up

Ford might be happy with 18% like the Carter years seeing with all the delays and Feds raising rates several times per year. They never can recall Whip Inflation Now
