Think: "hey man, I know it's up to you if you want to approve this warranty repair on my modded engine or not, and I think it is within your rights to decline it. But if you are ok with taking this $200 and approving it, lets do it. If not, no hard feelings at all." But not in such explicit words.

That's fine, you do you. But I doubt that you are checking to make sure they go to church and are faithful to their wives and don't take cans of parts cleaner and shop towels home before you drop your car off. Also, I am not saying "crooked service manager" is a bonafide tautology, but let's be real, dealership service employees are not generally what comes to mind when the word "integrity" is floated.

This is a little different answer . I put a Twin Exhaust Tips on my Hybrid and took off the resonator mainly for looks and show my service manager before and after he stated no problem with my warranty. Like I said a different answer then you are looking for .

Also, I am not saying "crooked service manager" is a bonafide tautology, but let's be real, dealership service employees are not generally what comes to mind when the word "integrity" is floated.

The difference is that some dealership service employees have integrity, as opposed to you who now publicly has stated that you don’t.

As I patiently wait for the arrival of my Area 51 2023 Ford Maverick Lariat 2.0L (currently, in production), I am pondering accessories and upgrades. My first project will be to install turn signal lights in the fender vents. The second will be a dual exhaust system (with dual exits). My question is, for those who may have inquired, will this dual exhaust system void the Ford Factory Warranty?

That is interesting. Can show a view of the entire rear end? And the routing through the bumper, from underneath?

As long as you are only changing cat-back stuff it shouldn't affect warranty, because it's not going to change anything except the sound of the vehicle, any tickets or long term hearing issues are not covered by any warranty.

So you had to cut part of the bumper support. But it doesn’t look like anything critical.

But, I will share this. I had a Chey Cavaliere, bought it new. . 1 month before the warranty was out the CV joint went out. It was replaced under warranty. Four months it went out again and the dealer said I had to pay. I called the Jacksonville (Florida) distributor and they said. The warranty work was guaranteed for 90 days, I told the person I was talking to that if they sent me a letter that stated it was not unusual for a new Chevrolet to go more the 15 months without a major drive train issue I would gladly pay for the repair, I was put on hold and when the lady came back she said you have an 8:00 appointment with the service department at Roger Dean Chevrolet. If you give your name to the service advisor the will get you in first. I hate doing stuff like that, but sometimes people make it necessary.
