I either lost my remote, or it was stolen at an airport we used recently. When I checked my local Ford dealer I found replacement was covered under my Ford Premium warranty.
It took about three(3) days to get the new one in, and the service gal called me immediately to arrange for me to come in, or them to send out their service car. I settled on the car, and the tech showed up just on time. I asked him, if they could program the new remote and my remaining one with new codes. He said he could, and could cancel the code on the missing remote to negate its use in the future. To me that is a no-brainer, and in 10-15 minutes it was all complete including testing.
While he was waiting for a few tech updates, I told him I had seen a couple of new 2025 Mavericks on their side lot. He informed me they ordered several Mavericks to use as courtesy loaners. They are relatively inexpensive, and might lead to future Mav sales. I think that is a good choice, though some may refuse to drive a truck.
BTW. My theory on the missing remote is that it was snagged out of my TSA tray, and whoever took it figured they could walk around the airport long term parking, and click the unlock key until they found my truck. Voila!! A free truck. Too bad for them my truck was still wintered in my Garage 1200 miles away.
ALSO. I checked with both TSA and the airport security, and after two(2) weeks it was not found. That is when I ordered the new remote.
