Remember, 100k / 10yr is really 64k / 7 yr extension vs the factory warranty.

Gotta love that sales pitch "You picked a great vehicle - these are just simply awesome - now how about spending $$$ more on a warranty for your new POS"

The $935 I will spend, for 7 more years of warranty coverage is cheaper than a single LED headlight...by a long ways. Far too much that you cannot fix yourself, with all the computer modules. I could do anything on my 1963 Comet S-22 260ci with 4 speed transmission, or my 1965 VW Bug, but this isn't that sort of vehicle any more.

$11.13 a month if you consider 7 years (84 months), or $7.79 a month (120 months) if you realize that the PremiumCare can actually cover things that likely would not be covered under the "bumper-to-bumper" 36 month warranty. Light bulbs, lost/damaged key fobs, enhanced rental coverage, etc. (with the add-ons to PremiumCare).

I'd buy it at that price for any "new POS", no matter what reputation the brand had.

Agreed that at $935, it is a deal vs people shelling out $2500 for similar coverage! Those overpriced ones are where an owner "hopes" something goes wrong to get paid out and prove it was worth it lol

Exactly. I have a 2020 Ford Transit-based AWD Gas RV and its 3 yrs warranty will be up in October. A 10 year plan for a Transit Cutaway is $2470 for PremiumCare and lights/75,000 miles. I am struggling with what to do. I have already experienced one LED Headlight failure that was a $1700 part (under warranty). I suppose that if some folks allow the dealers to charge $2500 for just a Maverick, I should pull the trigger and do it.

Hate to break it to you, but the dealer lied.

Warranties are one thing that almost every retailer marks up by an absurd amount. Dealers are no exception. And they'll lie that they're giving you a "great deal", or they can't go any lower. They could if they wanted to, but then you'd tell other customers this and they wouldn't be able to pull the con on others.

Flood Ford, Ziegler Ford, Granger Ford, and others have built their reputations in selling legit Ford Protect ESP products at a small markup - typically $50-100 over their cost. These are Ford dealers just like yours. The difference is that instead of marking them up by thousands and selling a few, they'll use the power of the Internet to sell many of them.

No matter where you buy an ESP from, it's valid at any and all Ford dealers in the US and Canada (and I believe Mexico). You can confirm this after purchase by contacting a dealer's service department. You can also find this information in the FordPass app if you use it. So long as it shows in the system, it's just as valid as the one you overpaid for.
Where can I find this information on the FordPass app?

It is in the "SERVICE section of FordPass. Select Warranty and you'll see:
Ford Maverick Ford ESP from Granger and Flood? 1705637897390

And then if you have an ESP like I have (from Granger), you'll see:
Ford Maverick Ford ESP from Granger and Flood? 1705637973158

And before anyone thinks paying for 36,000 miles and 8 years is foolish, I tow it more than I drive it and plan to only drive it 36,000 miles in 8 years. I wanted the extra 5 years for lights, rental and electronic issues. It was $515 for those extra 5 years.

I'm not going to go so far as to say the guy I was working with lied. When I went back to the dealer with all my paperwork and the quotes from Flood and Granger, he looked over everything and seemed legitimately confused, turned his screen towards me and walked me through the steps of pulling up the protection and maintenance plans, even going to show that the lowest price he could pull up before any sort of dealer add on was about $1,200 cheaper than what I was sold but still nearly $1,500 more expensive than Flood, then pulled up both Flood and Granger's website and attempted to call them both on speaker phone to try and ask how they were getting the pricing they were.

With that stated, I've no illusion that what I was sold would have had a markup, I was just a little flabbergasted at how much of a markup it was when I started doing my research. My sales guy even agreed that if he couldn't get the pricing that I was being shown, it would absolutely make sense for me the cancel the contracts and go through one of the other dealers, so it's not like he is actively fighting to get me to keep them.
The problem we have in Texas is that Granger, etc are not licensed to sell insurance and are required to have a physical office in the state to do so. So they cannot sell me a policy. Not true in all states but some so check and see.

Well today, I was trying to find warranty information and could not. FordPass must have removed it????
If you’re trying to buy extended warranty go to FloodFordesp.com. If you’re trying to find out about your warranty your dealer can give you info on when it expires.

Nope. Read the thread. I posted a picture of MY Granger warranty info before, as it was found in Fordpass. It is no longer reported in the same place in Fordpass, if anywhere. That is the issue. Did Fordpass move it...or stop showing it at all.

Sorry, didn’t scroll to top of thread. Since the new version of FordPass I’ve not been able to find warranty information, either. I hate the new version, not just because of that. It’s like let’s hide this info and let the user go on an Easter egg hunt to find it.

I've read of folks using an out-of-state friend or family's address to purchase the extended warranty from Granger. Apparently nothing gets mailed to the address used.

Yes. Nothing was mailed for my 2 purchases, but they showed up as valid.
