I am wondering if anyone has done this?
I really like my 2024 Mav Lariat AWD, but the ride seems so harsh on my bad back, primarily when the rear wheels hit a bump. I've already switched to 17" wheel for more tire side wall, I'm running only 32 PSI in the rear tires, I tried weight in the back, I even modified some KYB adjustable shock for the rear, which did help some, but still not enough. So I think the rear coils springs are just very stiff for such a light truck.
Supposedly, the 4th generation Ford Escape and the Ford Mav use the same Ford C2 unibody platform architecture. The spring rate on the Mav is 338lbs/in. The spring rate on the Escape is lower for a softer ride, but I can't find the actual spring rate.
So anyhow, from what I've read, the Escape rear spring should be close enough to fit and I'm wondering if any has done this or has the part number for a 2024 Ford Escape AWD rear coil spring.
Thanks
Gary
