I have a Bronco Base Sasquatch getting built (hopefully) 1/17/22 and I honestly am more disappointed that Ford hasn't given me a build date for my Hybrid Maverick yet.

I always thought Forbes was pay to play...their reviews read like an infomercial to me. But whatever, I guess it's good but it don't get me my hybrid any faster.
Damn near every review of the Maverick reads like an infomercial.

Just to put this in perspective, the Mustang II (you know, the Pinto derived Mustang) was Motor Trend's car of the year in 1974.
With the epic self own headline if "Take that Japan"

I can't speak for the auto industry specifically but I work for a large marketing firm and these people don't even look at it like it is pay to play. Basically they look at it as a marketing expense, just like any other advertisement campaign. You pay money they find awards to give, with larger institutions it just tends to be a paid vacation. I happen to know certain people got a sweet trip out of the country for a couple weeks and just also happened to give my company glowing reviews and a #1 rating. It isn't like none of our work was related to it, but it isn't like the people giving the glowing reviews really know much of what they're talking about.

Nice.

Of course the full size truck guys will use this to say the Maverick isn't really a truck.
Circle them back to Ford stopped producing cars, with the exception of the Mustang.

One thing that I found helpful in this article was the first chance I have seen to compare the Hot Pepper Red to the Rapid Red in a photo just under the section:

How does it keep getting these glowing reviews when we can't even drive it yet?
How about some real world experience before everyone gets all warm and fuzzy.

Driven ours for almost 2k now. It's damn near perfect.

- Room for over 6ft tall passengers front and back
-Ample power with the 2.0 Ecoboost
-Looks good
-Handles well
-Cargo and towing capability
-Decently priced

There are plenty of us that have them on hand.

Dumbest shit they could have ever done too.... How many Fusion and Focus did they sell yearly? I know NA is SUV and cross over crazy, but there is still a demand for cars.

Instead it should be Car of next year!!

Ordered on 7/6 Hybrid LUX Velocity Blue and still waiting on a build schedule. I‘m located in HTX.
I’m sure tomorrow will be another disappointing Thursday as usual.

Still a great hotrod platform, almost as good as the maverick(well it has a better front suspension sooo).
This was my baby.
