I confirmed I get the "are you the passenger" when trying search with a passenger, it will search.
I'm thinking about modding the passnger seat but I'm sure it will mod the airbag too.

Here is a mach e owner with the same issue. He bypassed the passenger seat sensor. not sure how. This would achieve what you want though.

You could try to change this setting below to RHD rather than LHD. This could trick the APIM into think you are the passenger when driving alone. I don't know if this would introduce any new issues at all with making this coding change to Right Hand Drive (RHD). The airbag coding is in a separate module so I don't think this coding would affect that but I don't know!

ya, I'm not comfortable changing that.
Oh, and the steering wheel buttons only do volume. The voice command is a complete joke.
I have my music in folders on the drive, I don't know if there is a way to format the music so the voice command works well.

Hey looking more into this I think coding changes need to be done in the ACM AND the APIM in the Lariat for some of these things to work. Try the original coding change for nav in motion in both the ACM and the APIM.

Change 55 to 57 in Both the ACM and APIM as shown below.

APIM

YOU MIGHT HAVE TO WRITE THESE CHANGES WITH THE ENGINE ON.

This coding SHOULD truly enable nav in motion and work for US mavericks. it just changes the country code. IT will not work for Canadian Mavericks. Try this coding out @Silver23 . It never occurred to me the coding changes would have to be made in two different modules.

AND if this doesn't work then I don't think its possible in forscan and physically bypassing the passenger seat sensor might be the only way.

I compared and contrast the ACM out of a USA lariat hybrid and a Canadian Lariat hybrid to narrow down where the country coding differences were located.

So what changed? Does it think it's in a different country now or?
EDIT. I believe it changes it to a European country without the Nav Restrictions basically.
