I can see you are new here so Ill enlighten you - the first year ford charged $1085 more for the ecoboost. They have advertised this as a hybrid STANDARD truck and 75% of the orders are for that drivetrain ( because it IS for the gas milage ) Ford is now only going to build 35% of orders as hybrids then Ford came out in 2023 and "allowed" all those orders to switch to the ecoboost at no charge but you are probably right those 75% of hybrid orders - those are from the people that want / need to flat tow and dont care about the milage ..........
You didn't read my post? Were you too excited at a chance to "enlighten" someone? I may not have signed up here when you did, but I do understand how the build percentages work.

Im really not positive that you do. One main reason Ford came out with the Maverick Hybrid was tightening CAFE standards ( and probably to capture the huge flat tow market  ) Here are the increasing MPG that Ford must achieve for their FLEET - CAFE LIGHT TRUCK FUEL ECONOMY STANDARDS - Now If Ford's 2023 F-450 LIMITED which runs around $105,000 and gets 18mpg on the highway got 17 mpg Ill bet Ford would build 40% hybrids. The picture is so much bigger than just the Maverick sales.

Bean counters control everything. Now, I would also say you have to bean count to make a profit nothing wrong with that - my point is that Ford shouldn't take so many orders they could never possibly fill AND after 75% of the orders being hybrid come back and say uhhh we can ( really WILL ) build 35% as hybrid but yet let all those orders stand until at year end when frustrated folks become mad folks after they are told -oooops sorry, try again this year... Ford can do better.

You are probably wrong here (unless you made a typo?).

A safe bet is fewer than 1 in 1000 will flat tow (0.1 %) since fewer than 1 in 100 own RV's.
🤔

Someone with more curiosity than I have should probably start a poll as to how many folks plan to flat tow. From my personal knowledge of "us", I think the number would surprise you.

Be positive. If you think the main reason Ford brought the Maverick to market was CAFE standards, guess again. Ford cannot build all the orders they have for OTHER hybrid models and those would contribute the same benefit to CAFE as the Maverick. But I digress, you are entitled to what you want to believe. Until you have sat in allocation and commodity meetings with OEM's, and spent hours on phones trying to get this or that allocation to swing in your favor, I think it best to consider what I have written here as relevant and factual.
While it may make you feel like clapping and hooting when you "roll your eyes" at flat tow sales, know that getting a foot in the door to that market promotes ancillary sales. Just like the heavy tow package F-150's, the very small percentage that actually need that are apt to buy other Ford products.....

I think everyone should have a legitimate gripe. I think the rollovers should have been prioritized first. The fact that there seems to be no rhyme or reason for who gets scheduled other than dealer allocation seems to be a cause of frustration. More of a reason why the traditional dealership model needs to go away.

That's funny. The reason Ford does anything is "Profit". Profit is determined by bean counting. If Ford wanted to build more Maverick trucks they certainly could. They could add a third shift ....... well ....... by golly last year when they were thousands of orders behind ........

FYI by defending Ford and their "high level allocation and commodity meetings with OEM's, and spent hours on phones trying to get this or that allocation to swing in your favor" you aint gonna get your truck faster by someone at Ford relieved someone comes to their defense - they are more worried about filling the 150,000 orders for 2023 SuperDuty Trucks they took in December which the bean counters say they make WAY more money on than a Maverick.

Strong analogy sudden demand and limited suppliers explain long 45-day waits. Restaurants and manufacturers both face hard choices when inventory runs out. When items are limited, flexible swaps help saw this with jureskogs meny when a popular dish was out. Clear, regular updates keep customers calm and build trust.
