Not if you disable the telematics system and LTE router. Thankfully to date Ford, at least on the Maverick, does not throw check engine codes and go nuts if you kill it, unlike some other brands.

You lose fordpass remote start, truck location along with phone displayed lock unlock, fuel level.
But then it can't communicate with insurance companies or with Ford.

The Flock vandals are addressing the problem too. There is a winery about 2 miles from my house and I just found out they have a Flock camera installed near the entrance to their winery! They got customers coming and going every day to hang out at the tasting room and drink wine and then DRIVE home! What could go wrong?

Agreed, the key fob's for my last three cars had remote start, along with all window down features. I miss it.
