FitcamX dash cam for Maverick

FITCAMX has a dash cam for the Mav that mounts behind the rear view mirror. Because of no rain sensor on the Mav, you have to either hardwire it or run a cable to the OBD port. Wired mine to OBD.

mine I only got the front facing camera option as I have a soft topper on mine and don't thing the rear facing camera would get very good video out the back window.

That is for providing one extra wipe a few seconds after using the window washer. I have it turned off.

I have a Lariat model and it doesn't have a rain sensor. I don't have the Lux package so not sure if those do

If paying for single channel and still having to run wires to the OBD port, might as well run wires to the fuse box and get a Viofo A119 Mini 2.

I don’t want the viofo unit as I like the form factor of the FitcamX and have used one in a previous vehicle that worked flawlessly.

It is a rain sensor and I think it was originally designed on the same platform as the escape.

And it does work in the Mav, you just have to wire it differently.

Still doesn't make sense that they would include a y-cable and specific instructions for an application that doesn't work.

What type of power connection does it use? Most cameras now use USB-C. Could tap into power in the overhead and convert to a USB-C if that's what it uses. I can't see enough of the pictures and info to tell.
