I am an ideal candidate for Hybrid based on my driving patterns. But I need AWD. I have to drive to work in the snow at 4 AM to run a command center. I would have definitely ordered an AWD Hybrid, if it had been available.

But with their driving pattern, they likely would not be that high. I can tell you based on all my city use, stop and go highway traffic driving and idling, I would not get 18-19 combined on an F150 5.0 V8. I had '19 F150 5.0 for a month on a rental while my truck was in for a claim. I averaged 14-15 in my same driving patterns. Which I appreciated, as it was more than my Lincoln pickup with the 5.4L.
Do you also have a good set of winter tires? I’ve driven in the snow/ice most of my life with FWD and never had an issue with awesome winter tires.

Finally averaged 24.8 mpg at the pump. Dashboard says I’m averaging 28 mpg per tank average. But I’ve never had those really align on any vehicle I’ve owned so that’s okay. I’m wondering if I’m not getting the high 20s/low 30’s avg because I live in cold New England and I start my truck before leaving the house and before leaving work 5 days a week.
Likely. In my experience with my Fusion the AVG MPG doesn't account for fuel used during remote start although Trip MPG might.

The thing is, locally, the plows haven't done anything when I drive in and I also drive a lot of hills. We also have lots of freezing rain. Need to get going on ice and ice covered hills. I have done FWD before. I can make it work with studded tires. But I'd rather have AWD/4WD. I can live with 22-24 MPG. It's a huge improvement. And I will definitely consider an AWD Hybrid Maverick in the future.

Since I run an emergency command center, I cannot NOT make it in. Thousands of people count on me.

No... Only if they want to get that type of data. Otherwise, since this is the way they use their Maverick, those are the stats that matter to them. That's how efficiently they operate the vehicle, between driving and idling. Everyone has their own use cases for their vehicle.

Also, engine start/stop does not engage in park, so you'd have to leave it in gear with Auto Hold on as well. I don't recommend that.
You mean correct data?

Data that doesn’t correctly describe reality in the OP’s use case is not “correct data”. It’s meaningless.

You insist that someone else benchmark their vehicle in a way that doesn’t benefit them for your own gratification.
Dividing the number of miles by the amount of fuel used is how you correctly determine fuel economy. It's just math. Isn't the math the reality? How does having correct information not benefit them?

It's also been noted that the numbers on the display often don't match the actual calculated fuel use. The first thing people should do is compare the numbers on the display to the mathematical reality to assess the accuracy of the displayed numbers.

I hope my answer gratifies you.

Hybrid owners won’t like this figure. Slowly been creeping down and hung @ 21.1 forever. Guess I have been having a little too much fun with my first turbo vehicle.

21mpg for me. I have owned about 45 days. Mostly stop and go driving in Eco mode with Stop/ Start on. It is what it is. Not going to stress over it.

Thats the problem I had with the last 2 turbos I owned. I constantly had my foot in it to spool up the turbo and wind it up. Luckily no speeding tickets.

Company car was a 2.0 Fusion....
I was a bad boy as I didn’t have to pay the fuel bill. It was “spooled” up more than it needed to be......😏
Have fun ✔🇺🇸

What the heck are you talking about ?!?! I LOVE that figure !
Never felt better about buying a new vehicle than our Hybrid Maverick, as we edge closer and closer to 40mpgs combined 🙂👍
I will never own another straight ICE vehicle as long as I live.

The more I drive my Maverick, the more I like the eco power.
Pushing the gas pedal down to feel the power is just a hoot.
My Hybrid Maverick has plenty of power when I put the gas pedal down. These preconceived ideas that the Hybrid struggles with power are wrong.

Glad you like the Hybrid. I don’t care about mileage as I don’t drive much. I’m not sold on hybrid or all electric as we see today. It’s a temporary method of transportation. I don’t think we know what will really replace what has already been done. The easy and quick to fuel ICE.
