Ha! Mine just want to build complete. We might catch the same train out of Mexico this week!

I have spray-in bed liner, so i am not anticipating mine going to Built status today.

I have SIBL as well. Not sure what the exact order is... When it says "built", does that mean it has has the SIBL already applied, or that the car is just off the line, then needs to go to the body shop for the SIBL. I'm leaning towards the latter.

@woozoo do you know something about shipping, that I don’t? Mine was built the 24th. I’m still waiting for shipment. But my estimated arrival date is 3/22 - 3/28

Not really, just that I have seen they do tend to ship out towards the end of the week.

I'm not surprised it's cheaper going through the dealership to get it done. Shops cut dealerships a discount because of the amount of vehicles they supply them with for the service. Also, I like the fact that the dealership is involved in case there's any issues.

Things to consider if the dealer does the SIBL:

• Who is actually doing the SIBL. The local Line-X shop or Joe's SIBL & laundromat.
• Who is guaranteeing the SIBL the dealer or the local SIBL shop.
• If there is a problem, having the dealer involved could just add another level of bureaucracy in getting it resolved.

May be I am tainted. I allowed the dealer to "undercoat" my first new vehicle many years ago instead if going to Ziebart as my my family always had. I was young and naive.

Years later the "undercoating" was non functional. What recourse did I have. I was living nowhere near the dealer.

Unless they completely blotch the job you are not going to see a problem until years later.
I reputable aftermarket SIBL company will offer you a nation wide lifetime warranty.

According to my timeline, it is applied before built status. When status changes to built, everything is done. Guess there is not that much of a constraint or wait for SIBL anymore.
