Ok - hope this is in the right post topic area. Did not get the extended warranty from the dealership when I got my 25 Maverick Hybrid Lariat last month. I have heard several times about a Granger warranty. For what it covers, what is the consensus...is it worth the cost? I tried accessing some of the past posts about this topic but it kept giving me an error so a new post it is!

Granger just offers the Ford extended plans for close to cost. You can buy it from any dealer.

I treat it as an insurance purchase. Hopefully I won't need it, but if I do it will be worth the price.

Yeah Florida and California have laws that don't allow residents to purchase warranties out of state. But there is a way around it and there are Florida residents who have used the loophole.

There is no consensus on a subjective choice. Granger offers the best price. Whether it is worth it is up to you!
Many plans area not available in Taxafornia. I purchased from Olive gor for $25 a month with a $200 deductible.

Depends how long and how hard you plan to drive the vehicle. Also depends how you plan to deal with the service on the vehicle. If you trade in vehicles every 2 - 5 years then probably no even if it is used as a commercial work vehicle. If you plan to hold it until the wheels fall off then maybe Unless Ford has become the exception this truck should make 100k with no issues except for standard maintenance so I personally would do a 10yr 150k if anything. In my personal experience with high mileage vehicles built after 2000 if maintained they tend to not start having small issues until 100k - 125k then if still well maintained around 150k - 200k more issues and 200k - 230k the engine will finally make a brown like substance in the bed unless it is a diesel or the engine was babied it's whole life.

Your truck your decision, seek out other opinions before deciding.
