People already get 700 miles per tank with the hybrid as is, see this thread.

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/700-miles-per-tank-club.16019/

Swapping a fuel tank for one that is not the proper tank for the ordered drivetrain may not be physically possible, since the hybrid takes up extra room.
Just fill up the bed with gas tanks and you can fill them up and skip groceries for the next three months( and lotto tickets). And Ford is now offering 2.9% interest if your Maverick is ever delivered.

Climate change used to be called global warming. That became to specific, so gee, the climate does change…naturally. Anyway, 600 miles per tank is fantastic. Plus as one has pointed out, it’s not good for the fuel pump to run each tank to near empty so maybe 550 per tank.
My hyper liberal friend who was a Moorehead scholar at UNC (the highest academic scholarship UNC has) always says, "You know, we're still coming out of an ice age." The warming trend has been going on for a while.

Plus, other planets in our solar system are believed to be warming as well. Surely THAT isn't caused by man. :) Man may contribute to climate change, but the sun & volcanos are probably the bigger contributors. Right?

Regardless of the climate, I'm loving that I'm averaging 40+ mpg since I got my hybrid last month. This is far and away my favorite vehicle since my 1988 Dodge Daytona.

Hey, don't inject reason into the conversation...you'll confuse people! 😜

Happy to hear you're enjoying your Maverick. Mine is my favorite vehicle of ALL I have owned. And that's getting to be a pretty long list! 😊

That's not an option for everyone, but if you can do it, more power to you.
of course people with disabilities would need a different bike/trike setup, but I encourage everyone who can to have a working set of human powered wheels. One of humanity’s most underrated inventions.

I've read that the bicycle is THE most efficient machine on the planet. I've also read that if you converted calories burned by human muscle to the gasoline burning equivalent- the average bike rider would get about 80mpg. :)

Incredibly efficient! You can barely power a lightbulb, but the same amount of energy will take you a few miles down the road. I guess that's possible when you aren't carrying your living room with you.

MLA, you got a cyber yellow/orange Maverick too? I liked the color a lot at first and am liking it more and more. How many cars have you had? If I counted correctly, I've had 5 cars and 7 trucks prior to the Maverick.

Here is my $19 "extended range hybrid mod", adds nearly 200 miles!
Be aware that the hybrid gas-hole is rigged to require a specific diameter nozzle to release catches on the spring loaded “door” into the tank.

Hummm, I may go check out sitting in my hybrid with a gatorade bottle but I have my doubts. Oh! By the way I always wanted a dog that I could name Phaedeaux!🤓

I did a bit of OTR driving is my 20s-30s and always has a Gatorade bottle handy. Challenging to park a 40ft rig to just pee.

Talk about challenged. I rotated my underwear drawer last year and one of the six or eight packages of new ones were for left handed access (never knew they had those, but....)
