Has anyone considered replacing their hybrid fuel tank with one from an EB? Its a 2.7 gallon difference which could possibly take it to the 700mile a tank range.

People already get 700 miles per tank with the hybrid as is, see this thread.

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/700-miles-per-tank-club.16019/

Swapping a fuel tank for one that is not the proper tank for the ordered drivetrain may not be physically possible, since the hybrid takes up extra room.
I don't mean to use a specific number. On the F150 the 35gal from the tow equipped V8 fits with no issue in the Ecoboost trucks.
What in the hybrid intrudes into the fuel tank area?

The hybrid has a relatively large battery plus coolant lines under the body.

As far as swapping fuel tanks, you're welcome to try. Let us know.

The tanks are already dimensionally the same externally.

Not correct. The 2.0L and Hybrid share the same fuel tank shell, but the Hybrid's tank has additional components within the tank itself necessary to support the Hybrid system and Atkinson-cycle engine. These components make up that ~2.7 gallon difference.

When they start showing up in the wrecking yards I'll take a look.

Wouldn’t be easy as the hybrid uses a pressurized tank where the EB isn’t designed for that system.

Seriously, why would anybody consider this?
Personally, since I plan to take my Maverick into off-road (within hybrid limits) areas to camp all over the country, I will also be carrying a spare external 5 gallon container of fuel, probably in the truck bed, locked under a cover.

Considering the horrors of human-caused climate change and the weird weather that has ensued from it - flooding in Kentucky, flooding in Death Valley California, terrible fires, and more - having a spare fuel source would enable me to have a little extra bit of reassurance.

I used to live in an area of the country that was very vulnerable to hurricanes. It was not uncommon to hear about people running out of gas during mandatory hurricane evacuations, where traffic can easily back up, and there was no guarantee of gas stations having enough supply, or power, or maybe they were just overwhelmed with customers, etc.

Is climate change leading to more wildfires?

Without a drought.

If climate change was really global, not just normal local weather, could a Maverick with any range really be an escape (no pun) from it?
Could more gasoline to burn be a way to remedy such a problem, if it is really man made?
Have I missed a satire alert/label somewhere?
And finally, when will I get my bloody hybrid?
