While tires certainly can make a difference it is the diver who ultimately determines how their vehicle responds in snow. If you think you can drive it in winter exactly how you drive it in summer it doesn’t matter much which tires you have.
Agree. The continentals did well this past winter in 8+ inches of fresh snow.

We need to replace tires on our 24 Maverick Tremor edition. Generally have been happy with the Wildpeak AT 3’s that came on it but since we currently don’t go off-road but do deal with snow, ice, rain etc wondering experiences other 24 owners had with other tires.

Considering Michelin Cross Climate 2’s

Also wondering where best to buy them?
Owner of the truck is retired military
If the owner is a veteran this is an option. Pretty good prices (and tax free AIUI) and they will ship to an installer that should be close to them. (Firestone/Goodyear/Bridgestone shops)

Unfortunately they don't carry Michelin if that is what they want.

IRT topic, I recently replaced the factory Contis on my 23 Hybrid with Cooper Endeavor Plus. Was a buy 3 get one free with free install at BJs Club. Pretty happy with them so far. Big improvement over the factory tires.

Discount Tire does not sell round tires. I am convinced they peddle blemished tires at this point. Id buy from Costco, walmart, Amazon, Ebay, Eloy the Elote street corn vendor.... anywhere but @Discounttire

Discount: The maverick is a truck, roadforce under 40 is fine.
Discount: No we didnt add hub centric rings because my tech didnt say we needed them.
Discount: Sorry, New tech he mounted your CC2s the wrong direction. (2 of them)
Discount: Oh yeah, we rebalanced them and 2 of them were off by at least .75oz (drove 10 miles/returned)
Discount: sorry we put in the wrong TPMS sensors ( they were supposed to be swapped over from old wheels)...
Discount is a joke. Used to be fantastic, but the new generation is lazy and the Managers cant do it all themselves.
*Your* Discount sucks. Most are fantastic. This coming from someone who worked for a competitor for many years.

Discount on 28th st SE Grand Rapids MI
Discount on W State Street American Fork UT
Discount in Gunn Barrel city Texas, Texas with an X.

Discount in St George UT = Stellar.
Discount in National city CA = stellar.

3 out of 5 that I have visited have been less than expected, and with many issues, so now I go anywhere but...

Working for a competitor is awesome man! .... So, ya'll just drove around and checked all the Discount customers balances and got a Google review based on those customer experiences? Not intending to be snarky, just gauging relevance.

Not sure how much you pay attention to mpg's but can you comment on the mpg's of the Cooper Endeavor's compared to the OEM Conti's that came on your Hybrid? I think these Cooper Endeavor's weigh more than the OEM Conti's and have a higher rolling resistance so I would assume less mpg's?

Haven’t calculated that out but subjectively it seems to be a slight decrease, say 1 mpg or so? Not enough for me to be worried about the difference anyway.
