not rocket science, but a tough job. All the trim around the outside, console, seats. The hardest thing was the hood release handle. There is a tread here that shows how to do it. Also, the console is six screws all around the outside (two under the dash in the front of it) and one plug under the passenger side cover thing toward the front on the side on the console.
ok. probably will take me the whole weekend . lol.

thanks.

Is it just me, or does the Maverick seem to have a good bit of road noise on some road surfaces? I have the Lariat trim with the Pirelli Scorpion tires. One some road surfaces, like newly paved ones, it is nice and quiet. But on others, it's so noisy it is almost painful. Just got back home from a 4 hour interstate drive, and my ears are ringing.

Any solutions to this? Dynamat? New tires? Earplugs?
Did you put that accessory piece in the top tray like a lot of people bought? I sent mine back because of the road noise in that thing.

I notice a couple members mentioning dropping their tire pressures from the " factory" pressures of 40 +.... If you received a truck with that much pressure in your tires, your dealership did not properly perform the pre-delivery service and inspection. The second step of the predelivery mechanical inspection is to set tires to the specification sticker on the door jam(that's 35 psi). Just FYI.

I don't think I get a lot of road noise, especially since I run ATs. The foam silencer things on the Lariat help a lot with that.

Wind noise, though? Abysmal. The seal between the doors and the windows is trash.

I dropped mine from about 36 to 34 in the rear and 35 in the front. It still seamed noisy. Much better now.

Yea even stock it's got some noise. TBH, I never noticed any wind noise on any other vehicle when adding window deflectors but I did immediately on the Maverick. I also have (in the process of selling) a Tacoma with a 3" lift on 285/70R17 E rated AT3W's and they are not as noisy as the 245/65R17's in the Maverick. The Escape Hybrid I had was kinda noisy too but still not as bad as the Maverick (stock or on AT's). I also had a Subaru Crosstrek that was pretty bad, especially in windy conditions. The roof would wobble like you were in a tin can being kicked around. What I've learned is on vehicles like these, they couldn't care less about isolating road noise.
The lariat has a sound deadening windshield if you need a new windshield pay for the upgrade but it's pretty pricey. Rotate tires every 4-6k miles. Check alignment. Research tires designed for low noise.

Look at the inside of the front fender between the door and the dash when the door is open. There's a foam insert there that's only on the Lariat.

Sure have a lot of road and wind noise in the Lariat Tremor too.
