So up here in the great white North. They are playing an escape commercial. They are advertising 900km on a tank.

So does that mean that the escape has a bigger tank? Anyone have numbers on the two vehicles?

Which engine is it?
Regardless, 900km is about 560mi so definitely a bigger tank

Could be meaning an Escape Hybrid or Plug-in Hybrid.

So it is not a much larger if any tank as range could be max. 40mpg at 14 gallons would get you there. It has a 13.8 gallon tank plus a short range Electric only and with rounding that’s close enough. 888.358 km with a full tank to dry I would not try it, but perhaps the km/l numbers are a little better than the 40mpg they are suggesting 900 is close enough to true (based on 1 sig fig) 9x10^2

What's the tank size o. The mav?
13.8 gal / 52.24L on the hybrid (37 mpg = 510 mi / 820 km range). 16.5 gal /62.46L on the Ecoboost. I saw mentioned that the fuel tanks are the same external dimensions but the Hybrid has extra equipment internal to the tank to help improve mileage.

We had a 2020 Escape Hybrid AWD for about a year. Sold it because we had been awaiting a Model Y which was ready long before we expected. Anyway Escape was Titanium trim- super super nice vehicle, highly underrated and i can’t say enough nice things about it. Everyone loves the RAV4 but if you enjoy the re-design of the new Escape, it’s far superior in my opinion. Our Maverick definitely carries over a lot of “escape” mannerisms. That said, we’d Often get over 500mi range on the screen but like the maverick, it is adaptive to driving conditions so it’s always changing. That’s good and bad. Sometimes I’d miss a regular fuel gauge but sometimes it was nice to see how much you’d have left for a given driving condition like going up a long mountain pass, etc.

Here’s a good example…

This first photo was taken going from Estes Park, CO (elevation 7,522’) down to Loveland, CO (5,003’). You’ll see how far we drove and still have over 558mi of range since we were going downhill and regen most of the time. Also some other pics showing how it can vary.
