Last week I got my VIN # & build date for week of September 5th. Today I received a Ford email changing it to week of September 19th.??? Just like that, 2 more weeks without any explanation. Will there be more delays? Plus the time it will take to be delivered to my Wisconsin Dealer!
Maybe they're actually spending a little more quality control time on the builds.

FIFO makes sense but in practice I expect that a company like Ford has the right to arrange delivery based on logistics. And this may cause months in delays.. There must be some efficiency in shipping a larger chunk of vehicles to a general location vs honoring the fifo if trains are busy or need to be packed better to keep cost down.
Finally my case may be an exemption but I received my maverick 3 months ago from a local small dealer and still waiting the exact same vehicle ( same color and constraints order day) from Chapman in PA.

@fordvideoguy have your orders that are previewing for this week been scheduled yet, or is it looking like that will happen sometime today?

Where to 2 order placed at the same time?

I can’t find your email on the LM website. You mentioned to send in your 2023 pre order. Is it hiding in plain sight?

I completely agree. It would be nice if the customers weren't being punished for not knowing about this system and choosing a local dealer that's small.
That would be great. I ordered a Maverick with a small local dealer on 1/18/2022. A week later after I discovered this forum, the allocation system, and the excellent $3k off MSRP deal with Granger I ordered a second. This was both because of the excellent deal (even considering travel expenses the Granger order will still save me more than $2k over the local dealer) and trying to game the allocation lottery.

Granger, obviously, had a ton of orders with that deal. Now my Granger order has a VIN and a build week, my local dealer order from a week earlier is still at priority 19 with no VIN in sight. If I hadn't discovered this forum I would probably still be wondering why I didn't have a Maverick more than seven months after ordering when the salesman at the local dealer told me "things are slower than usual right now, it will probably be April or even May before your order gets here."

They have all scheduled now, 8 of 10 had scheduled by 7pm last night, the other 2 finally scheduled by this morning.

I checked with Ford customer service yesterday afternoon, but if they did some scheduling still this morning...

It should be noted that it is unlikely that this allocation model applies to 23MY Maverick. It does not apply to Bronco for 23MY that is still on a market basket allocation.

Not sure, the Ford allocation system prioritizes large volume dealer so much that it feels pretty scary for people at smaller dealers. We're seeing large dealers getting October and November orders built and then there's still some July 21 guys still waiting.
Mine is at a small dealer have a Sept 26th build date ordered Dec 26th. We will see if that happens.

This system will be followed for all models even Bronco. Allocations were used in Bronco in 22MY and will be used in 23MY.

Allocations are used - but for Bronco it isn’t 60 sales/40 availability and there isn’t a 2nd phase. There is a market basket for Bronco. Bronco does not follow the same allocation formula as F150 or Explorer. It has yet to be seen what formula is chosen for Maverick, but I’d wager it is closer to Bronco than standard.
