Had Ford mobile service come to service truck, 23Tremor, 25000 mi, service truck drop skid pan , had oil residue on right side of pan under motor, leak off of timing cover, back side of engine, so glad he mentioned it, as it could of gone many thousands of miles before drip would of showed up on drive, take right tire off, u can see crank pulley , timing cover etc, looks like major job? They got truck repairing now

Glad you’re still covered by power train warranty. Not sure how our timing covers are attached/sealed.

Another thing to inspect when I do my next oil change (along with CV boots & any other leak spots)!

Thanks for heads up:)

Yep - OP’s built in Cleveland & mine built in Dearborn? The redesign was pretty much everything including the timing cover, but it never hurts to check for leaks. Especially on a new design😬

I have a 2025 XLT AWD EB. Just went over 1K. Did my first oil change today. Same thing, slight oil residue coming down oil pan. I have the felt cover and I didn't notice any oil on it. So it's not much. Don't know if it's residual during manufacture or an actual leak. I cleaned it up and will check it again in a few weeks. It's a lot of work dropping that cover. And there's no way to monitor it with the cover on. If it's a small seep I might just leave it alone.

Is this a dealership you can trust? From my experiences I don’t trust them to do anything. Usually they make it worse and/or create new problems. I fixed the oil leak I had myself. Otherwise my Maverick has been running pretty good with no issues. I’m happy with it.

Things have to be removed sometimes to get to other things.
AC piping removed can make things so much easier sometimes - wish I had the means to pull the gas and remove it when working on something.

That's seems to be the reason
