I had one on my 22. Now on my 24. Not only makes it look better, also less noise in cabin.

Plus no worries when you decide to power wash your engine compartment!

Many of the components in the battery can be recycled. Cannot say the same for the types of plastic used in that useless cover.

Did you remove the hood on your Maverick? Do you look at it all day and night? If you want it to look nice try some chrome. Seriously people can do whatever they like, but it's kind of funny. I think I would invest in some high heat tolerant sound dampener for the hood rather than that silly plastic cover.

Can they recycle sound dampener Or will it end up in a landfill someday?

Honestly it's not plastic. It is a very thick foam type material. I believe it was for sound and looks. I don't hear the motor as much winding it up. But they have some custom aluminum ones out there now just for looks. I always liked a clean motor look. Got bunch other mods too on it. But I'm a car guy that has hot rods also. So its not for everyone.

Well, that’s the P/N I posted and I ended up with an Engine Cover with the Lincoln emblem. Worked for me. I just simply did not care for all the exposed electrical wires.

He is talking about the "A" variant, the Ford one.

Depends on what it's made of I suppose. Most good sound dampener is made of rubber, which is recyclable.

The K2GZ-6A949-A is obsolete from Ford and no longer available,

there are threads about using the Lincoln version and modifying it to remove the Lincoln logo.

Knowing that I wanted one I ordered a cover when I ordered my Maverick. I tried using matching touch up paint of the truck on the ecoboost part but it is flaking off. When it warms up, I am going to re-touch up the ecoboost lettering.

Here is the "B" engine cover (Lincoln) that's still available. As others have done, I removed the Lincoln emblem and replaced it with with this one from Coyote Badge Shop. Also noticeable is the Steeda strut tower brace on my '23 XLT.
